This is an impeccable hotel. Warm welcome, and shown to our room which had a round bathroom in the tower. Very, very good food from an extensive menu at prices that were very reasonable. Comfortable bed, little exterior noise, no mosquitoes. Breakfast very correct, though as a coffee snob I'd lash out on a new machine with more than one...

We stayed for two nights in May to coincide with the annual antique/flea market. The room price for the night was mid range. The room clean and recently decorated. It was in a house next door to the main hotel so sound traveled through from the rooms above. There was no complimentary bottled water and we did not use the...

We arrived a little early but the room was ready. Third floor on the front but the road noise was not intrusive. Lovely big bed and well equipped bathroom which stood up well to the Logis rating of 3 chimneys. A walk around Bagnoles showed it to be a lovely town, in fact, rather up market to judge by the...

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is a shortish drive from the ferry ports so it makes an ideal first night before our trip to the Dordogne. This is a family owned hotel so they take care of their guests by having a more personal touch. The rooms are clean and there was good free wifi....

The owners of this hotel are wonderful , will do everything to please thei guests. Wifi was free and worked well . The clientele tends to be elderly as they come in for the famous medical "cures" (spa treatments) We had an excellent stay . Bed and room very comfortable and we had a lovely view Reference to the restaurant...

My husband and I have just returned home after an enjoyable trip to Normandy. Our last four nights were spent at Le Roc au Chien in Bagnoles. Every aspect of our stay was excellent. Our bedroom on the third floor was very nicely decorated in Toile de Jouy wallpaper and was spotlessly clean. We had dinner on two nights of...

We had the misfortune to eat at Le Roc au Chien this evening. The menu was expensive, poor quality and tasteless. The décor was shabby, the staff average. If you're looking for an enjoyable meal in pleasant surroundings, don't eat at Le Roc au Chien.

We stayed here last Sunday and were able to get a parking place directly opposite the hotel. As requested, we were given a quiet room at the rear. It was fairly spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean and very modern. The arrangements for getting a WiFi connection seemed overly complicated and I never managed to get Web...

We had a lovely overnight stay at Le Roc au Chien and can thoroughly recommend the hotel. As we arrived late we ate in the restaurant and had a lovely meal. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. Even though the hotel is on the road to the thermal baths the traffic is minimal...

The hotel has had a make over and our room was big with a wet room bathroom. We were on the third floor at the front but the road noise did not disturb. The greeting when we arrived welcomed us and was sincere. Breakfast was plentiful and the evening meal a delight. Being a spa town we thought it would...
