Marcure in Mont Saint Michel offers good value for money. It is located in the loop of the shuttle the regulator takes tourists to visit the historic island castle/abbey. And it is beside a bar/restaurant. The accommodations are quite roomy. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. But if Mont Saint Michel is one stop on a many day...

This was our second Mercure hotel on a two-week road trip. We chose it for the value -- reasonable rate, given that the Abbey is a tourist spectacle -- comfort, parking, and in-house restaurant and bar (OK, separate building, but one can walk under cover almost to the door). We liked the security of the area close to the Abbey,...

Just average. Room was spacious enough, has basic amenities. It has an ashtray. It doesn't smell very good in the hallways and in the room. I should have asked to be moved to a non smoking room. Free parking through a gate to enter the village, but you need to call the hotel in advance to get the gate code....

We stayed at this hotel as it offered parking and easy access to Mont St Michel. The accommodation is weird. There is a hotel reception, but our room was in a 'motel like' block next door, that reminded us of the Bates Motel in the movie. The stairways were very grubby and uninviting. Our room was Ok, but not really...

Very expensive nightly rates which is typical for most hotels in mont Saint Michel. The restaurant is also expensive. The hotel is basic enough, the beds are really comfortable but if you are staying on the ground floor it gets really noisy with people walking on the floor above, it sounded like a herd of elephants at one point it...

Stayed here for one night with a tour group. I hope the tour company got an exceptional room rate, as I don't think this hotel is any better than a Days Inn-type hotel in the US. The room was old-looking, with a strong odor of cleaners. The door to my room was keyed, not electronic, and there wasn't even a...

We stayed here one night I would like to shout out to Laurie. She was super helpful and sweet. We don't speak French and she was very very helpful in recommendation. Even printed some info off on google for us. The hotel was very clean and I thought the beds were very comfortable. We were able to leave our car...

This hotel is not actually on the Mont St Michel, but is close enough that it's in a restricted area, which you can only drive into if you are staying in this or one of the other nearby hotels and you have a code to let you through the barrier. Sounds simple enough, but in practice it was a lot...

Our room was quite small and so is the toilet. Bathroom and toilet are separate and without windows on either one. I kept the toilet light on the whole night so that the ventilation fan worked or else the toilet would smell. The bathroom's more decent in size. There's hair dryer, electric towel rail and bath tub. The tub is...

Stay here if you want to visit Mt Saint Michel but prefer to be off the rock but close by. This is a great option and the bus shuttle that goes back/forth to Mt Saint Michel has their pick up just across the street. If you don't want to do the buffet breakfast, the La Brioche Doree across the street...
