The big problem is the refusal to accept a guide dog for the blind in the breakfast room, thus prohibiting the blind person from coming. This is against the law and carries a fine of €450. Know the manager of this campanile. Also note that the law prohibits charging a dog surplus

This weekend we stayed in this hotel in Maubeuge. It is a great hotel for 1 or 2 nights.
Room and bathroom were clean.
The rooms were very noisy.
The staff was friendly.
Breakfast was sufficient. Sufficient fresh fruit and toppings. Fresh coffee.

The hotel provides everything you have paid for. Comfortable night after a long journey by car on the way from France to Belgium. Reasonable price for a one-two days stay. I would recommend to improve the wi-fi signal. It needs to be stable and strong not near reception area only.

Cheap hotel with small rooms but very good beds. Ideal for people who are travelling with dogs. The hotel is situated at the edge of a very nice park. Bakery on walking distance on the other side of the park. Friendly staff.
Possibility to have breakfast, lunch and dinner on a small terrace of the hotel with view on the park.
Noisy street on the other side of the hotel. A dog on the room costs 5 euro per dog per night

Pleasant motel near main road but backing onto leafy town ramparts. Room decor and facilities need updating, but clean and comfortable enough for a two night stay. Staff friendly and breakfast good. A bit overpriced in my opinion (e.g. compared to the UK Premier Inn budget chain, this Campanile was more expensive but lower quality).
Disappointed at the amount of single-use plastic in the room, e.g. plastic glasses wrapped in a plastic wrapper, disposable coffee cups and lids, each sealed in a plastic wrapper, plastic spoons, etc. The Campanile chain needs to address this and start providing re-usable cups and spoons in the rooms, to reduce plastic waste.

Very tired and depressing place. We travelled in a heatwave and the rooms have no air conditioning. Staff had left the blinds down to try to keep the room cool, which helped slightly, but also meant you couldn’t open them at all. Our room was on the ground floor so felt like we were sleeping in a dark cave. Plenty of parking, but we didn’t try the limited food on offer.

Got stuck in maubegue for a few hours (during lunch time -France). Almost panic, then I found the Campanile. Have no idea about the hotel accommodation, but if the rest of the place is in line with the most friendly and helpfull staff, than, it must be good. Had a decent lunch, got my phone charged, got my free Internet connection, and all with a smile. If you are in the area, worth a detour.

It was a very hot day but the air con not efficient enough as it just didn't cool the room down. The decoration was very tired and in need of a new coat of paint. The grouting between the bathroom tiles on wall and floor were stained although the bed linen and towels were clean and crisp. We found the room rate expensive for the accommodation we had. Won't stay again.
