Stayed for 6 nights while visiting our daughter who's staying in Cambrai for a year on an exchange programme. We had two rooms on the second floor: L'Evasion and Nature. They were both comfortable rooms, the Nature was a bright room decorated in a country/ shabby/ chic style. It was mostly clean, but a tiny bit dusty in the bathroom,...

Roger and Babeth are very approachable, friendly hosts; generous with their time and very knowledgeable about the area and its history. The rooms are delightful and individually decorated. This is a charming chambre d'hote in a central but quiet location. Thoroughly recommended.

Loved staying in this beautiful old building full of character. The room was very clean and the bed really comfortable. Would have preferred a shower that you could use standing up. The heating is controlled by the owners and you need to ask them to turn it up or down. Not ideal. Breakfast was very tasty but would have liked...

My husband and I stayed here as part of our WW1 tour in honour of our great grandads. Perfect stop off while exploring the area (just one night). We had one of the large rooms which was nice with a big bathroom. Very quiet which was perfect as we were exhausted after everything we'd seen and done, and seemed to...

If you like staying in old homes with that old French charm. This is the place for you. When they handed me the antique key to my room I knew I was in a special place. The room was clean and quite large. The staff could not be any friendlier and helpful. Very close to the city center. I am...

charming hosts give really good advice where to find an excellent restaurant (really just next door) an old palace-like house newly renovated (with lots of antiques) - yet comfortable beds romantic, pleasant french breakfast (fluffy croissant - jam and marmelade - coffee, tea, orange-juice, cereal, baguette and another bread) in the middle of the centre of cambrai (I would say...

My son and I stayed here for a night on a bicycle trip and the owners could not have been nicer. In addition to helping to organize a place for our bikes they also donated a map we needed for the next day's ride. The rooms are large and clean. I highly recommend this place.

I booked this, and hubby stayed with a friend whilst on a biking trip. The hotelier waited for them to arrive, then opened the beautiful wrought iron gates to let them park their precious bikes. The rooms were beautiful, chic and french boudoir. Lots of lace, and all very quaint. Breakfast was continental and plenty of it. Great night's sleep...

We stayed for three days - comfortable beds, unique ambiance, everything clean, and the owners are lovely, friendly people who make you feel at home. It's a beautiful old-fashioned house, right in the centre of Cambrai, with many good restaurants within easy walking distance. Definitely recommended.

We stayed here for 1 night over our wedding anniversary. We much enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable (called Nature) and full of nice French country furniture and nic nacs. We slept well and breakfast was plentiful (boiled eggs are available). You need to park either outside or or in the nearby outside car park. The owner was very...

“All the rooms are themed, but there is a suite, which is beautiful too. They have cots etc. and will accommodate most things. There is also a Michelin starred restaurant attached.”

“Don't be persuaded by the reviewer who wxed lyrical about the Suite des Anges. It's basically OK, but not out of this world.”
