Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The village itself was picturesque and friendly. Hospitality of the owners and staff was second to none. On the whole, a place worth visiting whatever reason. Highly recommended on all scores.

went for a meal today and was quite disappointed as we have previously had good meals. The chips tasted as though they were cooked in old fat and the mushy peas tasted floury to me. The steak and mushroom pie looked like it was bought in and stuck in the microwave as the pastry was soft. Hope it's better when...

We went for food and did not stay over so my review is based on the pub experience not the hotel. Allot of venues state they serve proper pub grub but quite often this means cheap food prepared badly. The Swan Hotel thankfully does not fall into this category, the food is homely and comforting. The menu is what you...

Xmas lunch with family We ordered turkey Xmas lunch and beef blade, Both large portions and great taste. Only criticisms were the roast potatoes were only just cooked, and the horseradish mash - I couldn't taste any horseradish in it.

Stayed at the Swan after a gig in Clitheroe. Big enough bed very comfy with tea and coffee in the room. However, some tired furnishings and despite a big bathroom the shower lacked power and was a little underwhelming. Breakfast was good with cereals / porridge and a full Lancashire fry up including black pudding which set us up for...

We had an overnight at the Swan as a trip down Memory Lane as we all lived and worked in the area in our 20's, (too many years ago now)! The Swan is a 200 year old building and I would recommend. The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean! It's a busy pub with a great atmosphere, the food was...

Stayed overnight for a wedding celebration at another venue. The car park is a pay car park but on entering the hotel to get change I was handed a slip to put in my windscreen, the friendly helpful staff made it easy to check in. The room was clean and had all we needed. Breakfast choice was excellent and I...

Eat at the swan every now and again, it's always good food and excellent service! The slow raised lamb shoulder is beautiful! And they always have specials on which are well worth a try!! Good wine list and plenty of beers to have with your meal, it's always a visit if you are near by!

Stayed at the Swan Hotel on a Friday night, we were attending a wedding at Mitton Hall. Hotel situated on main road that some people may find loud. Room we stayed in was above the bar and we could here the general chatter in the evening, not a problem for us but again some people may have an issue with...
