The lady who helped us check in, who also served us dinner in the restaurant was very nice and friendly - but no one else was. The wifi was broken. The coffee machine at breakfast was broken. When you're on a road trip without cell service, hard to do without wifi for maps and booking the hotel for the next... More

Top hotel to stay in Brive la Gaillarde. Great Staff and good food. Well located in the city centre with access to restaurant and shops. Highly recommended for business or leisure. I will come back, hopefully soon

The room smelt damp. This improved quickly on opening the window on a hot late August afternoon. It might not be so easy in the winter. The hotel is convenient for both the old town and the railway station, but not for more than 1 night

The overall impression when you arrive is nice. The staff barely speaks english. Very clean and well equipped rooms but very noisy. The parking only has 10 places, so if you don't arrive early you'll have to park in the paid public parking in the surrounding.

We booked this as a stopover en route to the Dordogne. We arrived and wanted dinner but unfortunately they were fully booked. The staff were very friendly and spoke very good English. The room was disappointing, the ceiling had damp patches with some wallpaper missing! The room was basic with an average bathroom. The rooms need modernising and updating.

For a one night stay, this is a perfect choice if what you are looking for is a good situation and a fair price. Staff are really nice and helpful, maybe just a little improvement at breakfast time would be appreciated. There is a market right at the door on Saturdays.

We just have to sleep somewhere for one night in our way back to Bordeaux. Or stay in the Hotel Le Chapon Fin was, in general, satisfactory. That been said, I'm kind of surprised of how a hotel with a room that size (a little bit small), without any accesories in the bathroom like a simple hair dryer or without... More

Our friends booked this through Booking .com. Our room was on the top floor, the room was damp & musty with a large damp patch in the ceiling over the bed. The loo was loose & the hot water was, well, not. The window wouldn't close & the noise from the street below kept us awake. I could go on,... More

Super hotel in a fantastic location in the centre of Brive with free parking (always a bonus). Very efficient, friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way in providing excellent customer and hospitality service in different languages to cater for their clientele. Bar and restaurant is a bonus to have on site and the food and wine served... More
