We recently spent 2 nights at The Hotel de l'Atelier. The hotel is located in the small village of Villeneuve-les-Avignon which is on the opposite side of the river from the main town of Avignon, the village itself is very charming as is the hotel. We stayed in a Charm double room which was spacious and very clean. The bathroom...

Last month my wife and I spent six (6) nights at Hotel de L'Atelier. Until the 1950s the building housed a silk factory. It was then converted into twenty-two (22) guest rooms; all uniquely different. Given the length of our stay we upgraded to a superior double room with a separate bath. In fact, our room consisted of two entry...

We arrived a TGV trip from Paris, planning to stay for only one night before going on to rest of Provence. I am always a bit nervous about a three star rating, but what a pleasant surprise. The rooms are great, with newly renovated bathrooms and separates toilets. Beautifully decorated with fantastic views over the back courtyard. The staff at...

I first stayed here 20 years ago and just returned to use it as a base for traveling around Provence. What a charming place! Quiet and friendly, in a lovely little town with many good restaurants and a wonderful flea market. The staff was very friendly (including the hotel cat), and there are great common rooms and a lovely courtyard...

I travel on a regular basis for my business which arranges ultra bespoke, very expensive and unique holidays in Italy to a very discerning clientele. However when it comes to family holidays with my young children and husband we want cosy, charming and good value. The Hotel L'Atelier offered all of this. The owner Stefan understands customer service better than...

The Hotel de l'Atelier is a simple but very atmospheric place with a super friendly staff. Situated in the middle of the very attractive village Villeneuve-les-Avignon and just on the other side of the Rhone to bigger Avignon, the small 3-star hotel makes you feel very much at home, if you do not need to have the extra luxury of...

We just checked out of Hotel de l'Atelier and really enjoyed our stay here. This may be obvious to others, but I didn't realize when we booked this hotel that it is in the town of Villeneuve les Avignon, just across the river from Avignon and about a 45 min walk from the Palais de Papes. However, at the hotel...

This hotel is a gem. The rooms are well appointed and the location is in the centre of town. The main square is in walking distance where there are really nice restaurants. The breakfast in the morning has a great selection. They have wines by the glass to drink in the afternoon or evening and have a lovely garden patio. The...

The hotel continues to make incremental improvements to the rooms. This is an old building with character. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom fixtures were modern. Breakfast is by self service buffet and good. Secure offsite parking is available, and a good selection of restaurants in town for dinner.

We stayed at Hotel de L'Atelier with a tour that we were on through The Rhone. The staff were excellent, and did an admirable job of accommodating our group, which was almost as big as the entire hotel. The building and the rooms were old, but very nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast served in the morning...
