In a nutshell: I booked a room, but instead I found myself sleeping in a construction site, having my worst hotel experience ever. This hotel is under complete renovation, all the floors are under refurbishment and they indeed are closer to a building site than a hospitality facility: dust everywehere, cables and wires hanging from the ceiling, dirt, bad smell....

The hotel was being repainted, there were plastic covers all over the building, a very strong smell of paint and dust everywhere, even in the rooms. However no discounts were offered for this exceptional state. The rooms are old fashioned and very small. One evening returning, I found that housekeeping had forgot to close my window and the dirty sheets...

Be careful when booking this hotel as its under renovation. The hallways are dusty and smell of glue and paint. The floors in the hallways are covered in plastics. The rooms themselves are small and a bit old, but have everything you would expect in a 3 star hotel. Breakfast is simple, but affordable for Parisian standards. I also found...

I stayed here for one night, as a last minute option as I needed a hotel room in that area for a meeting in the following morning. The location is good, with the line 9 metro station right in front of the hotel. The room was clean and ok in size. The decoration was a bit dated and it could...

I found the hotel on internet and the Booking.com price was Euro 80 per night. When I phoned the hotel directly, they quoted Euro 150 for the same room. So I booked by Booking.com and got the room for the agreed Euro 80. Initially, I was pleased at the location; right next to the metro station and in a good...

My room was on the street side, so the road noise was extreme. Typical small European rooms. Had a shower head with no shower curtain so water was sprayed all over the bathroom taking a basic shower. It is amazing that a simple little thing like a shower curtain isn't used. On the positive side, the room was clean and...

If you're looking for a base to explore Paris on a budget then this is the place for you, if however you're on a business trip and need some sleep then think again. The walls are very thin indeed, I was awoken on my last night at 3am by next door's antics and kept awake for a good while, fortunately...

I've been travelling to Paris for one night every other week for the last two years or so - meaning I have a lot of experience with budget hotels in this area! The Best Western chain is well known throughout the UK and America, but as each hotel is independently owned and operated, all this really guarantees you is a...

We stayed at the select hotel for 3 days and got a weekend promotion of 100 euro's per night for a twin room - breakfast included. It's a 3 star hotel but if feels more like a 2,5. Rooms are clean and decent size. Free internet and works fine. The bathroom however is small and there's no showercurtain. There's airco...

My back kills me for the last 2 days, the matress is probably 50 years old. I can hear people talk in the room next to me. Actually I can understand what they say as if they were in my room.... Wifi is good if you go to the closest McDonald's, otherways forget it. It would not be free anyways....
