Booked for two nights in November but left after one. Got such a shock to see the place over run with cats.. If we'd been warned about this on booking.com we would have booked elsewhere. The place was dingy and had a horrible smell (made worse with the incense to try and hide it).. Dirty, dangerous carpet on the stairs....

If you can read, you will see that we have cats at the hotel. It will be good for your to return to school. The problem of poor guy like you is that you are looking only for the rate. You are coming to pray at Bernadette Soubirou but you prefer to lie instead of telling to somebody why you dislike...

Stayed a night here at this simple hotel in Nevers. It's close to the Gare SNCF de Nevers (about 20 minutes walk) and the Espace Bernadette (about a 10-15 minute's walk away). This hotel is great for those who don't mind simple accommodation. Do note that if you're arriving here in Nevers in the afternoon, the reception is only open...

I must ask Tripadvisor to put on a 'button' that allows reviewers to specify the parking situation. Yes this was a rather quaint old style hotel (creaky everything) next to a noisy road junction (get a room round the back) but above all, whilst it was cheap and very friendly (the owner and I had some banter over my French...

Hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the Gare (train station) which is fine. As Nevers city centre is rather small, it is very easy to walk most places from the Hotel. The room we had was big enough, shower worked very well and so did the toilet (but did make a loud sound each and every time it was...

This hotel was close to Espace Bernadette, a site that we wanted to see. It was within walking distance. The people were very friendly. It was near many restaurants and shopping areas. Small, but satisfactory for us.

Nevers is a small but very cosmopolitan city near the Loire River and only 2 hours by train from Paris. The lower rooms on ground floor are very spacious, with wooden floors and high ceilings. (There is a little bit of noise when check in/outs happen late at night or early morning, as the corridor echos and of customers have...

This is the second of four reviews of budget hotels while touring through Burgundy on a motorcycle (see also review of the Motel Au Soleil Levant, Meursault; Hotel Arlequin, Troyes). Luckily we arrived just on time as the hotel opened (17.30). The chap behind reception was very helpful and also spoke English for my benefit (my brother speaks fluent French)....

In border of a park and close to the railways station and the Old City with few restaurants, a picturesque old hotel of 2 stories. No lift. Entirely non-smoking but in a patio. Banal rooms but excellent shower with hairdrier. Toilets separated. If you don't previously order the breakfast, impossible to get a coffee or an orange juice. Closed after...

I probably overlooked the information that the Hotel does not open until 17.30 so had a wasted walk on a hot day from the station an hour earlier. Once booked in however I found this a friendly charming Hotel and excellent value for money. A comfortable bed and quiet location ensured a good nights sleep and I could not find...
