Hotel was on the edge of the town with not a lot around. Room was a good size and comfortable. We had a good view over the Saone which was good. Hotel was having work done but you would not have known. Friendly staff.

We arrive at the end of july and the Hotel is not presenting really well because it's in the middle of renovation works ... but it happens, so we proceed with the check in. Inside is not really a 4 stars hotel ... but you are paying for 4 stars, both service and quality are not high level, acceptable but...

We recently stayed at this hotel on our way from the UK to the French Alps as an overnight stopping point and, while it is certainly a no-frills hotel, it served the purpose. They were undergoing construction while we were there and therefore had limited services which meant a fairly basic dinner menu of three choices, but as we were...

The receptionist spoke English. This was the high point of the star! The room had a damp floor on arrival having been cleaned that day. The facilities were poor and the corridor had a number of refrigerators in poor condition taking up most of the route to the lifts. The diner was adequate and the breakfast was lacking. As a...

It appeared that the construction was primarily to update the exterior which is good because it was dated and it was showing signs of wear. There were also some renovations going on in the reception and other areas in the...

Just come back after 8 nights (24th April 2016).. I was upgraded to a superior room on the 4th floor but only because that appeared to be the only floor open? The room was superb and the bed amazing, top quality tv but only bbc world news in English. Now the gripes, the towels are small and of poor quality,...

We do the journey from Calais to Spain 4 times a year at least and have just changed our route so were looking for our new 'forever hotel'. Macon is the perfect stopping place for us so booked here as it had the option of superior rooms. I booked in on line, and the receptionist had our key ready in...

  • View overlooking the river from third floor.
  • Shower head built into shower ceiling - kind of fun
  • Inside of shower.
  • Shower looking from the bathroom mirror. Shower has a half door.
  • Small bathroom. Shower is to the right in this photo.
