Very well presented, clean hotel. The unprepossessing exterior of the hotel in a row of shops that have seen better days belies a well presented and rather stylish interior with a nice mix of modern and traditional furniture. Friendly and professional welcome. Very good continental breakfast charmingly served, and the overall price was correct for our stay. Good central location...

A lovely hotel. We booked the family room which is 2 rooms with an interconnecting door. An amazing location looking out onto the River Saone. 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre. 2 minutes’ walk along the river brings you to some great riverside bars and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean with free wifi, TV and air con....

This was our 5th stay at Hotel du Nord and the high standards remain the same. Simple but stylish rooms, free Wifi, excellent breakfast, friendly hosts. Located on the banks of the Saone it is an easy walk into the centre. Parking is a problem but once you have found a spot it will be free after 6.00pm

Good views across the river to St Laurent. Free on street parking, but very reasonable secure underground parking nearby. Good choice of restaurants on the riverfront and across the bridge in St. Laurent.

An old building hiding a quality independent hotel. The rooms have character but modern touches abound, including a remote control air conditioning unit, essential in the summer months. The bathrooms are completely modern, with spacious shower units, finished to a high standard. (No baths). What made the stay most enjoyable, was the warmth and friendliness of the owners and their...

Hotel Du Nord Macon is a small Hotel, placed quite conveniently on the outside of the town centre in Macon. I was a little concerned about it upon arrival but it appears to be well managed by a Mum and daughter team, who were very attentive and caring. They made us feel very welcome. Although we only used the hotel...

The hotel was fine. Parking is on a metre in the main road outside the hotel. Parking is free at night. Breakfast is extra. We did not stop for breakfast preferring to breakfast en route. We had a quiet room at the side of the hotel without a view of the river.

We were pleased with the value of the room and location. The room was small but adequate with updated furniture and bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The only complaint was no curtains! Just older shears that didn't reach to the bottom of the window. We had to use the bed spread to try and block out the bright sweet light....
