We pulled in to town looking for a place to stay and found des Bourbons. It was a fine choice, nice room, elevator (after two hotels with none), friendly/helpful staff, and good restaurant. There is free parking to 9am. On top of all that the cost was less than I expected, $75 euro.

Big room, lovely bed, quiet despite bus & rail stations just outside. Good restaurants attached. Easy parking. Quick entry & departure at reception. Stayed Oct 2016. Only had time for a quick walk around the town but it seemed clean & safe.

We booked online and, whilst one never really knows what to expect, we were very pleasantly surprised. It's a lovely old building, but the room and facilities were all of a very good standard. The welcome we had was lovely, made all the better by being able to park our car for free right outside! The lady on reception gave... More

I was travelling by bicycle and had requested a safe place to store my bike overnight. The staff invited me to store it in the lounge! The hotel is close to the station and with 10 minutes walk of the city centre. The external of the building suggests quite an old hotel but inside the facilities were fairly modern. A... More

We stayed for just one night and were pleased to be able to park in front of the hotel without charge (as the machine wasn't working)! Reception staff were very welcoming. Lovely old building which internally had aspects of faded grandeur about it. Beautiful old staircase with a red carpet, which had seen better days! Strange mix of decor styles... More

I have stayed here a few times. To be honest I am always surprised how quiet it is. The hotel if clean, friendly and breakfast was fine. Restaurant closed on Sunday night. Very close to station, plenty of parking outside and town centre a short walk away. Ideal for a quick overnight business trip or transit hotel. Wifi free... But... More

Driving north to catch a ferry to Caen, we decided to stay overnight in Montluçon. It was a cold, wet, very gray day,and trying to find a hotel by guide and telephone mid afternoon was difficult, as most places were full. We got the last room at the hotel, it was comfortable, spotlessly clean, a lift took us to the... More

Considering the price we paid via booking.com the room was clean and comfortable with great beds and there was a decent bathroom with an excellent heating system. The staff were very helpful and we parked free outside as the meter didn't work! Excellent breakfast in the morning but we didn't eat there in the evening. It is very close to... More

The hotel has been recently renewed. The room was nice and quiet, though not very large. The bathroom was nice. Breakfast was good. There is private parking around the corner for 5€ more. We could not test the restaurant because it was closed.
