If you look at the photos posted by this hotel you would think that its elegant and beatiful. Here are a few facts: There is NO fitness room, opening the door labeled 'fitness' we saw a pile of pillows with a mattress on the floor and a big folding screen hiding a few fitness machines from site. A horrible putrid...

My family booked two rooms for 5 days late May. The spacious rooms were well appointed with very modern bathrooms. The location was a short walk to the medieval city center. Both the hotel and town were comfortably quiet. The counter staff was always friendly and willing to make our dinner reservations since we spoke very little French. On street...

My wife and I are presently here at the end of May 2015. Sarlat is quiet as is the hotel. Room is quiet, clean and in good repair. It is also larger (Hautefort) than I am accustomed to in Europe. Breakfast has been plentiful and good. Street parking is easy and the car is not necessary to get to center...

We stayed here in June 2014. Hotel is in a great location only 10 minute walk from town centre. There is parking available through the hotel, but it is costly and a little way from the hotel. We just parked in street outside hotel - no problems. Room was comfortable, but limited extras. WiFi was not working and had to...

An absolutely lovely hotel within a 10 minute walk to medieval Sarlat Town Center. Friendly, helpful staff. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated and supplied with everything a reasonable person could ask for: robes, personal care products, refrigerator, ironing board & iron. Great breakfast: continental in house OR buffet a few yards across the courtyard at their related hotel next...

We were upgraded in room quality so can't comment on 'value' but our room had many modern conveniences, especially in the bathroom. The commendable separate toilet was rather snug but air conditioner worked well - a blessing as we were there in mid summer. It's a short, enjoyable walk down to the old city - about 400 metres.

We had five nights during hot weather in July. The pool and grassed area by the pool were very welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants. Car parking can be booked at €12 per night. You won't find any other parking nearby on Saturday (market day). The room was a very high standard with great bathroom and...
