We should have read the “poor” review ourselves. When Tony led us into the terrace suite, I knew, like an earlier “poor” reviewer whose comments I’ve now read, that we were in trouble when I instantly began coughing. “Oh,” mumbled Tony, “She left the door shut after she sprayed for flies.......” as he opened the French doors that lead to...

We arrived lost! But , our wonderful host Tony, gave us directions and we made it! It is just like it appears on the web page. Our room was the biggest we stayed in during our five weeks in France. The standard was of high quality, bedding, towels, water pressure, decor, view, all you need,to make your visit a pleasant...

We stayed 3 nights and wished it could have been more. Clean and cosy with a kitchen to be shared by guests which was great as a number of us visited the local markets. Later that evening enjoyed the local produce over some Dordogne wines while sitting on one of the two guests terraces. The owner, Tony was most welcoming...

We stayed in the atelier which was a separate building from the main house. As we had our dog with us it was excellent. The atelier was beautifully furnished and equipped with hotplate, dishwasher, crockery, glasses, coffee, tea, in fact everything we needed, and a complimentary decanter of red wine was also provided. We enjoyed our stay enormously and Tony,...

My wife and I stayed in the terrace suite for 5 nights in mid October 2015. The suite was beautifully presented, very comfortable and very quiet. As already noted, the kitchen/cafe arrangement is really convenient and we also enjoyed using the bbq for a couple of evening meals. The property is a little way out of Sarlat but is certainly...

The Manoir Petit Meysset seemed a little expensive at first at over 100 euros a night in August 2015 - especially as this did not include breakfast. However, we changed our minds! Sarlat is an expensive place and Suzanne (Australian) was extremely helpful: she directed us through a short-cut to the large Carrefour supermarket a short walk away; explained that...

Our hosts have created the most beautiful and imaginatively decorated 'home'. Just about everything was provided for even down to a gents razor. The breakfast at 3 euros was perfectly adequate and dietary requirements were considered. The setting is idyllic and the rooms and bed made our stay very relaxing and comfortable. Suzette and Tony are charming, helpful, caring, interested...
