If you come to this hotel, pack light. There is no elevator and the staircase is steep and narrow. The hotel is centrally located, on the main drag, just outside the old city. The decor is funky and eclectic. Breakfast is good, with a limited but nice variety and great rustic bagguettes. The staff is friendly and helpful, even when...

Small hotel very near to the old city of Sarlat. The rooms are small like most of the country side hotel in France. I was staying there in a hot day thete were no airconditioned rooms so had to sleep with the window opened and the room faced the street which mean not sleeping at all. Breakfast was fine.

It's the little details that make hotels enjoyable to stay at. With it's comfortable bedding, generous pillows, excellent WiFi, quality toiletries and warm heating, I enjoyed a relaxing time at this lovely hotel in the cold winter. The staff are friendly and there is a great little wine bar where locals and guests mingle in the evenings. I'll definitely stay...

We booked this hotel for three nights while touring the Perigord. It would need quite a lot of maintenance, the staff was not particularly friendly invoking the 2-star rating when we complained but not when charging for services (3.2€ for a 1/2L bottle of water is the highest price I remember!). We informed the reception that a light bulb in...

This hotel was a good location, easy walking distance from both the train station, and the old city. The room was small but fine for us. We faced the back courtyard, too bad they didn't have the pots that were sitting on the roof outside planted, it looked grubby, we kept the shutters closed. It was very hot, no a/c,...

My wife and I stayed at the St Albert Hotel in Sarlat from September 12 to September 15. We booked our stay through one of the hotel booking services. Shortly before leaving the U.S., we emailed the hotel and they arranged for a taxi to meet us at the train station. We made a similar arrangement for our very early...

We decided to stay in Sarlat an extra two days. We were fortunate to find this hotel which is on the main street walking distance to the Saturday market. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The price was reasonable. It is not a fancy hotel, but it was very clean and acceptable lodging.

Having read some reviews on this hotel I understand all the associated problems that could exist regarding the lack of AC in the rooms during hot periods. Problem is it's sandwiched between two busy roads and close to buildings on at least 2 sides. So don't bother when it's hot weather otherwise you could be dissapointed trying to get a...

This small hotel is right down the street from the medieval center. Extremely convenient for walking to dinner. There is ample free parking nearby and, as I was driving, this was important to me. The staff were very pleasant and very polite about my horrible French, speaking English when I got stuck. The rooms are fairly basic, which I expected....
