I visited my local pub on one of their special dining evenings Tapas and a quiz. The food was varied and cooked to perfection, well done to Ross who cooked up great food. The atmosphere was great with locals and visitors enjoying the evening. Look at their facebook for special events you won't be disappointed.

A real village pub with lots of locals drinking in bar area who did get quite loud with a large element of swearing going on. Good menu with 4 Sunday roasts which were lamb, chicken , beef and duck plus full menu and a specials board which was comprehensive. Food good quality all home cooked and tasty. Fish and chips...

We called in here for lunch while staying in a nearby hotel. Our whole party ordered sandwiches and chips, lovely fresh bread and skinny fries. We probably wont be visiting again as we live 3 hours drive away but if the sandwiches are anything to go by the rest of the food should be good.

Stopped here with my family for food and drink. Great food in a traditional English village pub. Not enough of these types of pubs in my opinion. Too many go into a chain or too gourmet!!! Good pub grub and good beer. Cheers and Thanks .........

we visited the Red Lion recently for a family meal. Very nice food, pleasant friendly staff and the sort of place i would be very happy to return to for food or drink. The steaks were excellent as were all the other meals. Apologies to the waitress for not leaving a tip, completely forgot, sorry. The service was very good.

Very nice Sunday lunch. Particularly liked the roast pork with black pudding yorkshires and the creme brulee. Excellent pint of Jack Spaniels too. Good value. No nothing of the rooms or what it's like to stay. We had met friends in the morning at Hellidon Lakes Hotel, which did not appeal to us for lunch (soulless, corporate and with TVs...

This was our second visit. I'm not sure why we haven't returned before! It has a lovely atmosphere and manages to combine a typical English pub with customers enjoying a drink and others eating. The menu is excellent with plenty of choice. The portions are good and we had a lovely evening with friends. We will be back.
