Very good hotel, pretty grounds, beautiful view. Room (charme) tiny but luxurious and comfortable. Good location for exploring the chateau country. Even though you feel as if you are in the countryside there, you are really in the very developed suburbs of Tours. Some staff seemed a little terrified when we tried to chat with them: not sure why but...

A wonderful hotel, quiet, charming and the service provided by the hotel staff was impecable. The bedroom was elegantly decorated but the adjoining bathroom was huge, best I've stayed in for some time. It's cenrally located for a tour of the Loire Valley. The only downside were that prices were a little high for UK visitors but then the Euro...

From the first to the last moment, we were blown away. The service was wonderful and never over bearing whist always being approachable with warm smiles. The room although being slightly small, was gorgeous, baroque and magic to every detail. There was still lots of room to move and the views were beautiful. As a lovely gesture, we had an...

I'd like to thank Domaine de la Tortiniere staff for a wonderful stay. I spent three days there, including my husband's birthday. We went to see four castles around the city, but our stay in the hotel was the best part. The apartaments are great, very clean and charmy. They think about every litlle detail to make you relax. We went with our 3 month old baby and had a wonderful time, the staff were so helpful and made our stay so easy. The resturant serves wonderful food and the canadian maitre d knew everything about the menu and was a really nice guy. The only one thing that was disappointing was breakfast, we ordered in our room at...

Spent one night at this hotel as a stop-over whilst driving down to SW France. We found the hotel on Expedia and decided to stay at here versus the #1 listed hotel in Tours because it offered a lower rate. Overall, we didn't regret the decision. The gardens and architecture of the buildings are quite lovely. Apparently, we were upgraded...

My husband and I have traveled abroad for years, staying in top quality hotels all over Europe. I believe this was my husband's 8th trip to Loire, and he has stayed in chateau-type hotels in the past. This was the best of any hotel he stayed in previously in Loire, and one of the all-time best. The service was impeccible....

After intense days exploring Germany and Paris we needed a break, and this hotel more than satisfied our desires. It is beautiful. It has a great staff and a marvelous private rural location in the Loire Valley. It also has a creative chef, and the owners, one of whom trained at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC for three years, know...

I am so glad we stayed here! The hotel is beautiful, well furnished and with a view to the valley. To get to the hotel you drive through a small and beautiful wood. We only stayed for a night and I regret that. The afternoom we arrived we wandered in the gardens and saw the other manors in the property,...

The hotel itself is not a big castle, but rather a manor, situated in a beautiful park. The highlights were: - fireplace in a castle salon where you can have a pre-dinner drink or a late-night cogncac, play chess, chat, chill - the restaurant is amazing. The food is very, very good. We ate there on both nights of our...
