Laura & Ennio are the very congenial proprietors of B&B Torre Medievale, a set of 4 small apartments in a restored auto garage that has been in Ennio's family for a century. They have done an excellent job turning a set of buildings constructed against the medieval walls of Viterbo into a secluded retreat 100 m from the entry to the old medieval center of this pleasant and historically significant city in northern Lazio. The apartments sleep 2-4 people and are comfortably furnished; gated private parking is included (important, as non-residents are not permitted to drive in most of Viterbo's center); and the proximity to the Via Cassia (SS 2) and the Porta Romana train station makes this an excellent choice for touring either Viterbo or Lazio. Sensitive sleepers will want to bring earplugs, as two of the apartments face onto a busy parking lot with several popular indoor/outdoor restaurants open until late at night.
