The staff are the icing on the cake, Luca and Maria, along with there wonderful team, really provide a first class service, assisting with recommendations of places to eat, which are plentiful. Often they would reserve tables for you if you asked for assistance, or provide advice on travel to the many nearby attractions, Florence, Lucca, Pisa etc... The Hotel Tirrenia, Is well situated not far from the main beaches, spotlessly clean, with modern rooms, breakfast is continental, with additional scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage, fresh fruit and coffee. This is a place we would spend another couple of weeks at without hesitation.

We spent 5 very enjoyable nights in Hotel Terrenia. It is a fantastic hotel - close to the beach and restaurants. It is spotless and very comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is plentiful with a very good choice. It deserves more than 3*. Highly recommended.

Beautifully presented hotel, perfect location on a side road opposite the beach. Service could not be faulted, everyone was so helpful amd friendly. Breakfast was tasty, small buffet style, and they even did hard boiled eggs for us. Rooms were immaculate, large windows/doors, with high ceilings, so had an airy feel. Nice to have an additional balcony too. Hand sanitiser available in communal areas (Italy is much more diligent regarding this, you need a mask on trains too). Overall if we were to visit Viareggio again, we would definitely stay here, why look around for anywhere else, when this ticks all the boxes? Thanks to Luca for being so responsive to emails, Erico and the lovely lady at the desk, for the helpful suggestions for trips and places to go. Victoria and her colleague for the fabulous morning coffee, plus everyone else, all so friendly, which made our stay extra lovely.

Five stars plus for this cosy, brightly clean beautiful hotel, at only 200 meters away from the Viarregio beach. A family run hotel, with very warm owners and stuff, that hardly work all day to make sure you are comfortable, well treated and happy all the stay. Abbracci per Stefania e Luca, torneremo presto, amici!

I booked this hotel based on location and reviews but as a 3 star I didn't expect too much. Luca messaged me and kept me informed throughout (I had requested a balcony room) and he was on reception when we checked in. We were early but our rooms were ready and perfect in every way. The hotel is spotlessly clean, has a wonderful little garden which is perfect for a cool drink and the lift was a welcome sight. The location is brilliant, everything you could need is walkable. Do beware the bridge over the canal shuts at 11pm, we got caught out and had a very long walk back late at night. I think the hotel deserves to be a 4 star, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone and I am a travel agent in the UK. Well done Tirrenia.

My first time experiencing the coast of Tuscany and The Tirrenia Hotel was the perfect stay. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The room was spotlessly clean and big. The variety of the breakfast selection was great. Located very close to the beach, bars & restaurants as well as a 10 minute walk to the train station. Highly recommended.

The hotel is good, good breakfast and good location. The sea is really close by and you can park the car really cheap around the area. There are restaurants around so you don't have to use your car for that.

Have just returned from a 6 day stay in this real gem of a hotel. The staff are very friendly, the rooms spotless and the breakfast buffet is superb. Lots of lovely fresh fruit and pastries and jams. Because we were leaving early to catch the plane they had left a delicious takeaway breakfast bag for us in reception. Eva the receptionist was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. There is plenty of parking nearby- for 5 euros a day you can park in the zone blue, just watch out for the street cleaning signs...... Having a fridge in the room was really appreciated although we missed having a kettle for cups of tea, but if you ask at reception they will serve tea and cocktails in the sweet courtyard. We will certainly stay here again if visiting the area and can strongly recommend this super little hotel.

We were a party of 4 from the UK, (actually returned today) we booked through Jet2. We were very impressed with this hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff were always polite, cheerful and helpful. We all had rooms facing the main road, I was the only one of our party that could not sleep due to the noise ( I am a light sleeper). I spoke to reception after the first night and was transferred to a room on the back with a partial sea view and most importantly nice and quiet. I only had to explain my sleep problem and they went out of their way to sort it. The restaurant provided an excellent choice of breakfast - lovely fresh fruit, savoury selection, English breakfast, continental. There was always a lovely fresh evening meal, we never left the table hungry. The reception staff were very approachable as was Daniele, who was on the information desk. The cleaning staff were helpful, cheerful and do a first class job. The restaurant staff were smart, clean, polite and extremely cheerful and helpful. We all enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this hotel.
