What a lovely family run hotel..200 yards from the sea front of the beautiful seaside town of Viareggio..we stayed here for the carnival and we were not disappointed..yes rooms are fairly basic but they were spotlessly clean and the 2 rooms we booked both had a balcony which gave views down to the seafront. Fantastically placed for the Carnival itself. Continental breakfast was of excellent quality with good choices and tasty home made cakes which went well with the coffee which was served fresh and of good standard with a smile. We will be back next year.
This is a two connected apartments on the third floor of private villa The swimming pool and terrace area is amazing Close to Lucca only ten min drive , Lucca is a beautiful rustic town The owners are very nice and friendly Highly recommended
Great place to stay in Viareggio ! Extremely close to the beach (Bagno Vespucci: be sure to mention you are staying at the Rosa dei Venti... you get a special deal). Very clean rooms, air-conditioned, great breakfast... and super nice host !
Lovely and perfect located B&B next to the boulevard in Viareggio. We slept here 2 night in July. Very friendly owner/host, doesn't speak English but surely understands it and is very helpfull! Super central location, just cross the street and you're walking on the boulevard. Would absolutely come here again.
About a 2 min walk to the beach and we got discount on sunbeds by quoting the b&b. A lovely couple running the place, we had breakfast outside every morning and there was 8 of us and he came and asked us what we would like every morning. Great breakfast, nice rooms. Perfect for what we needed! Can't fault it, great place to stay as well if you're looking for a shopping/relaxing beach holiday and Lucca is a short train journey away for a bit of culture too.
It was our second stop of our European vacation. We went by car and it was not easy to FIND A PARKING SPACE, but it was FREE. We got a paper from Villa Rosa and put it in the car and it was ok. You also get DISCOUNT TO ONE OF THE BEACHES, as they are not free. Typical italian beach life, loooove it! Water is not the most beautiful so choose a beach club with a pool I suggest. Bring your sexy! Lots and lots of RESTAURANT close to the B&B and the food is excellent everywhere! I mean it can't get any better than italian food!!! Best seafood on Earth! ROOMS were CLEAN but very dated, it kind of had a student's hostel wibe. But it was very close to the beach and city and so it compensated. We had a little balcony from where we could see the busy streets :) OWNER was soo kind! He made sure we found everything and helped us a lot. BREAKFAST was really nice, coffee was even better. They don't speak english very well but we could understand each other somehow. Viareggio is very romantic, but go by car and visit other close cities as well. We found amazing buildings and great restaurants every day! …
We stayed here for five nights in August thinking it was an accessible location to Torre De Lago, though clearly not at a crude €27 taxi. The accommodation was essentially poor, no amenities, confined to one small sitting room with no television and a few books. The owners were lovely people, though have very limited English and little enthusiasm to engage, other than via hand gestures as indicated by a previous review. The room was clean, maintained by the friendly maid, though bedding was worn and air conditioning barely worked. A bar of soap and limited sachets of poor quality shampoo were made available. Breakfast was equally sparse and continental with poor selection; coffee choices, some breads and yogurts. Though worth a mention is the Momma's delightful homemade cake. Location wise, the B&B is just off a side street beside the main promenade which in itself is dated and full of older people (retirees) with little or nothing to do at night. The place is just tired and outdated, very like this accommodation. I would not recommend this B&B for anyone to be honest, certainly not at this price. We stayed on the second floor and were not permitted to use the lift as we were able! It's not even accessible for those with disabilities or even practical.…
The b&b was very close to the beach and the promenade. The owner didn't speak much English, but via hand gestures and that little Italian I could and his small variety of English word every thing was possible. Parking can be quite a problem. It took us 30 minutes finding a perking spot. The room was small but there was all we needed, even a balcony with a sea/beach view. The breakfast didn't have that many variations, but again, all you needed and the owner was extremely friendly and service minded. He made you feel like home or visiting your grandparents. Taken the price into consideration and the fact that we where by the beach most of the day. Then was this b&b a perfect place to stay. Your are left to your own, most of the day, wich was perfect for us. If you had any questions the owner was very helpful and where always there from the morning to around 12-14. I can highly recommend this place.…
Charming atmosphere at this nice B&B close to the beach. We spent 4 nights there. The owner was very friendly and professional. Rooms are simple and spacious and nicely decorated in mediterranean style. They were cleaned every day like it would be in a hotel. We recommed this B&B to anybody who likes simple but nice places and wants to feel home away from home. We'll come back.
very good location, staff very helpful, rooms spacious and even nicer than in pictures; I'd definately recommend it for families and for city breaks; In fact it's the nicest B&B I've ever stayed at; the staff was always eager to help out; perfect!
