Stayed for a week on family vacation and are very happy with the hotel and recommend it for other travellers. Good value for the money.
Logistics:
We arrived by train from Rome. Hotel arranged a taxi pickup service from the train station in Monte San Biagio (about 20 min drive from hotel). Taxi cost around 30 EUR.
Hotel is nicely located some 50m or so from the beach.
Rooms:
As per expectation in a 3-star hotel in Italy. Plain rooms, somewhat old interior but always felt clean and fresh. Double bed, small desk, wardrobe, small kitchenette with basic equipment to cook simpler meals, fridge. Bathroom with shower, dryer. Daily cleaning service.
Breakfast:
Buffet type of breakfast with youghurt, bread, butter, marmelades, cheese, ham, eggs, traditional Italian pasteries, and juices. Barrista service.
Services and facilities:
Pool area with sunbeds which were nicely separated in pairs by small hedges. Almost always sunbeds available. Most people go to the beach so very calm and quiet by the pool. Pool guard.
Free parking.
Bar open daytime (until approx 20.00) for drinks (and ice cream)
Excellent help from reception on what to do and see, what restaurants to visit etc.
Surroundings:
Nearby (5-10 min walk) to Conad supermarket.
Hotel does not have any sunbeds on the beach. The closest service provider "La Conchiglia" charges 18EUR for two sunbeds and one umbrella. Closeby providers charges about 15 EUR for the same. There is no discount for hotel guests.
Several of the sunbed providers on the beach offers light lunches (pasta, sallads, sandwiches) and a few of them are open evenings for dinner.
City centre - It takes about 40 minutes to walk to the city centre where there are more shops and restaurants than by the hotel. Bus service is available and the hotel also offers bikes.

I had the pleasure to visit this hotel for two nights in September 2019. The place seemed to be a typical one for tourists. It was full of that kind even in the early fall.
An upgrade would not harm but all in all the standard was all right.
The real advantage is the location so close to the beach. A coming back in summertime is realy tempting.
The old town of Terracina is fantastic with its buildings and monumets dating even from BC. Must be seen again in this life.

I Just Love This Hotel!! All the staff was super friendly and very helpful. The room were perfectly comfortable with an excellent seaview from the balcony. It was located perfectly! Just 20 seconds walk to the beach! Could not believe how clean the Hotel was. The pool area was really nice too. The Hotel has a bar were you could buy sandwiches, pasta, ice cream, beverages etc. All the staff was really kind with us. We will defenetly come back soon, I can't wait!

It's absolutely ok, but not for the price (compared to the hotels we stayed the days before in the Provence of Latina). So, we won't return and recommend other families to find themselves options that have a better price:value balance. The area is generally nice

We visit Terracina every year and have stayed in the Hotel Poseidon several times, we love it and find the location excellent so are just about to book to go back again this year! Terracina is a small town and easy to get about, there are many restaurants & bars nearby and lots of beach cafes dotted along the lovely lungomare (seafront)! The rooms are lovely.....the hotel has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and the staff and owners are always on hand to help and give good advice......great service, cant wait to get back!

We were 2 adult couples who spent 2 weeks in Hotel Poseidon in September 2011.
Positive: The hotel is situated very close to the beach. The pool area is nice and clean with a nice garden. The staff is very helpful and service minded. The rooms are of average size and so are the balconies and the toilets/baths.
Negative: The hotel is situated 2 km (at least) from the city and at least 500 m from the super market (a long distance when you have to carry 6 x 1,5 l water). There are only 2 restaurants in walking distance between the hotel and the city. They do not serve the best Italian food. There is only one taxi in town and the driver will not drive after 11 pm. You have to make an appointment with the driver to pick you up from down town and drive you back to the hotel - unless you want to walk 2 km after your dinner. There is no restaurant in the hotel - only a bar. They do have sandwiches for lunch - if there is any left when you want to eat - and if you want to have dinner at the hotel they have a few pasta dishes - prepared in the micro wawe oven.
The furniture on the balcony is of plastic and not very comfortable.

My wife and myself stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks, and enjoyed the hotel very much. The pool area was very nice and the bar where you could buy beverages and food. There was also a free internet point in the lobby, but you ha've had to bring your own laptop. The staff was very kind and informative.

Everything about the Poseidon is excellent, from the rooms with balconies, the friendly and helpful staff and the overall ambience of the hotel. Breakfast was very well catered for and the special deal for dinner at a nearby restaurant was fabulous and very reasonable .
