My girlfriend and I stayed at Wallace's over the august bank holiday weekend. We flew out on the Thursday night Ryan Air flight to Rome, picked up a rent a car and pointed ourselves North up the A1 to Spoleto, but we were unprepared for the vagaries of Italian signposting. As a consequence we arrived considerably later than expected. Needless...

It's hard to say something about Wallace's Arthouse that has not already been said before. The place is unique, and its location inside the city walls of Spoleto is fantastic. But let me say that the real added value to this picture is Wallace himself. I met Wallace by one of those flukes that sometimes life has in store for...

For memorable accommodation in Spoleto, try Wallace’s Arthouse. With a fantastic location inside the city walls and within walking distance of all the fabulous sites, the Arthouse (the term B&B just doesn’t do it justice!) is tastefully decorated in a very modern style, yet is a traditional old building with frescoed stairwells and exposed brickwork. The views from the top...

Wallace's Arthouse is a unique place. Located in a centuries old building with one of the few remaining towers in Umbria, it combines the comforts of a bed and breakfast with the style of a modern, cool apartment. Wallace is a delightful host and prepares a delicious breakfast with freshly baked bread each morning. Our room was comfortable and we...

Wallace´s Arthouse is a beautiful place to stay in Umbria. We stayed for two nights and had a fantastic time.. the owner and host, Wallace Shaw attended our every need and even joined us for dinner one night and greeted us with cava when we arrived. Wallace told us that he had totally redesigned the Arthouse building.. the result is...

What can I say that won't already have been said about this elegant B&B in the centre of the ancient town of Spoleto. Situated in the 17th century Palazzo Pompili which is constructed around the only remaining fortification tower (the Torre del Olio) in Spoleto, Wallace's Arthouse takes its guests for a trip into the history of the town. From...

I stayed at Wallace's Arthouse Spoleto during a weeklong tour of Italy that also included Napoli and Sorrento. Let me tell you, the people in Napoli will miss no opportunity to pass you a fake 20 euro bill or trick you in other ways. Spoleto was a wonderful, wonderful contrast to Napoli. I had a fantastic time. Best of all...

We spent our honeymoon in Spoleto, and stayed at Wallace's Arthouse Spoleto. Both the town and, particularly, the Arthouse, were incredibly romantic and relaxing. This recently-restored and hip, spacious, and yet comforting/comfortable space occupies the top of a classic Spoleto building that is attached to what I take to be the oldest suviving tower of its kind in Spoleto. This...
