As other reviewers have noted, the hotel is charming but it is not without some issues. Firstly, navigating a hire car through Spoleto to reach the hotel is a major challenge (although this is part and parcel of touring Italy). Secondly, we were initially located in the annex which had several problems so received a welcome upgrade to the main...

We stayed here for 2 nights during a touring holiday. The room and hotel were beautiful and the owners very friendly and helpful. They recommended a restaurant for our first night and booked one for our second. Good variety at breakfast, especially for a small hotel. Spoleto was one of the highlights of our holiday. We would certainly stay in...

It was a bit difficult to find (we were on foot, walking The Way of St Francis) but once arrived it was comfortable, beautiful and all staff members were exceptionally hospitable. Our room was nicely prepared, good size with a wonderful view of the valley. I especially like the breakfast in the patio under the umbrella where two ladies were...

We were looking for someplace north of Rome, (en route to Ravenna and San Marino) that wouldn't be too far of a (jet lagged) drive from the airport. And so, thanks to the Trip Advisor reviews of this lovely Palazzo, we decided to come to Spoletto. We were not disappointed- Spoletto is perfect for a one or two day stop,...

The hotel is in a lovely position with beautiful views across to wooded mountains and up to the castle. The Via Flaminia on the valley floor is not intrusive and quietens right down at night. There is a lovely formal garden with statues, a fountain and a cistern of goldfish. You can sit outside on a terrace with large umbrellas....

We arrived at the hotel by car (be warned, the roads are very narrow). The hotel owners (husband and wife) were friendly and welcoming. They made good recommendations for local restaurants and tourist attractions. The hotel is situated in the heart of the Old Town. The Hotel has a good sized garden and a terrace that offers superb views of...

After much debate we set our sights on Spoleto for the start of our Umbrian adventure. I'm delighted we choose well. After now visiting many of the rooftop towns we can clearly say this is by far the best and Palazzo Leti is very beautiful with charming elegant gardens with a backdrop of stunning views. All the family are wonderful...

What a truly amazing place to stay! The stunning gardens in the forecourt, most hospitable hosts, well appointed rooms over looking what the awesome Spoleto views. The owners family could not have been more helpful in guiding us for places to see and eat, and the breakfast they provided each day (I had to many of the pastries each morning!)...

Absolutely beautiful. Relaxing. Inspiring. Georgeous. There is not a better choice than Palazzo Leti to stay in Spoleto. We were so lucky to enjoy six wonderful nights here. It is so perfectly located...you easily walk everywhere. But the best is when you return to the Palazzo....you feel so at home. The delightful morning breakfast....served outside on a nice day is...

Old reinassance-house in the heart of Spoleto, walking distance from Duomo, Rocca Albornoz and Piazza Mercato. Delicious elegant design and warm atmosphere! Nice people. Only Breakfast could be improved (small place and limited choise).

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The beautiful residence of the noble Leti family is located in the historic center of Spoleto. According to various sources, it seems that this was the first residence of the Leti family who arrived in Spoleto in 1500 but the family name became extinct at the beginning of the XIX century. due to a lack of male heirs. The Residence was built shortly after the medieval city walls were constructed (1292) using, in part, a pre existent Roman structure which you can still see walking along Via delle Felici. Recent restoration has revealed an important architectural, environmental and historic heritage not to mention a garden that has been restored in classic "Italian garden" style. From the garden one can admire the beautiful view of Monteluco and some of Spoleto's most important monuments including the Rocca Albornoziana, and St. Peter's Church. Rooms: The Historical Residence consists of 12 rooms, all of which are decorated with warm lightly coloured fabrics and organza. Each room, with its unique architecture, colour and decor is reminiscent of a noble room of the past. All rooms have a view of the sacred mountain of the Spoleto valley "Monteluco", which evokes the peace and the harmony of the hermits that once lived there. Facility: Soundproof, safe, mini bar, air conditioning, TV sat, internet access free. ... more   less
