The ONLY reason to stay in Perito Moreno town is if you want to visit the Cueva de las Manos (old old paintings of hands)! The town has little for the tourist - a couple of hotels, no functioning ATM's (several travellers got caught out here when the ATM's wouldn't give them money & the hotel only takes cash! NB...

this hotel is for you. We stayed in a private two room with twin beds and the tiniest shower ever. There was hot water just not alot of space. The hotel bar, dining room and tienda where like stepping back in time. Collections of spoons, arrowheads, blue and white china figurines and a photo of Beruit 40 years ago decorated...

No it's not fantastic, but it's totally fine for the one night you'll spend there. Service is a little brusque, but our twin room was clean and warm. Shower was tiny. Wifi worked great. The downstairs restaurant serves generous portions and has some retro charm.

Stayed here on my 2 day bus journey down Route 40. On the positive side, they have good heating and the rooms were reasonably clean and well appointed (for a hostel, not a hotel). But the wifi was down, there's no breakfast (except in the exorbitantly priced, attached restaurant - and the food is awful. This is one of those...

I stayed here for 2 days before continuing my trip to calafate. Its a cheap hotel with all the basic needs served having a well maintained room and toilet. The restaurant serves delicious food. I recommend everyone to stop by Perito Moreno and stay in Hotel Belgrano.

Oh dear! This is a large blocky hotel in Perito Moreno. It serves its purpose which is mostly to accommodate adventurers along the legendary Ruta 40 between El Chalten and El Calafate. The front foyer is dull, cramped and uninviting, and the reception (presumably the manager or owner?) was equally uninviting. A bus load of us arrived and he did...

We stayed here for a night as part of a package booked with Chalten Travel and we really wished we hadn't. The hotel doesn't seem to have any kind of no smoking policy so our room stank of cigarette smoke, there was a toilet along the corridor which didn't seem to have been cleaned for some time and the room...
