In a town where the architecture is more likely to be concrete than traditional chalet style this hotel breaks the mould. It apparently dates back to the 1930’s (which is probably when the piano in the bar was last tuned) so it has that “alpine” feel. Expect lots of wood. It’s tucked down a little street running parallel to the...

This is a very friendly small family run hotel in the centre of Sestriere. The staff are friendly and very helpful from the moment you are dropped of outside by the coach. We had opted for a comfort room and it was well worth the small price increase. Large room with double and single bed, plenty of wardrobe space, we...

Savoy Edelweiss is located 5 mins from the main slope of Sestriere. Family hotel, well run, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of antique decorations. Rooms are reasonable size, clean daily, but slightly small bathroom. No lifts to third floor. Breakfast has a good spread, anglicised on our week of stay. Dinner is a buffet style - pasta and risotto won't...

The location of the hotel is not far from the piste. The hotel is traditional but nothing wrong with that. Room was clean although the shower was a bit old. Breakfast and dinner were good and wholesome, although not quite"wow". They made extra early breakfast on departure day which was very nice. Wine was expensive. The hotel would benefit from...

On a positive note, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The health Spa is a great bonus. The food is typically Italian, plentiful and tasty. Broad choice of meals and plenty to choose from at breakfast (but as seems to be the way in Italy the bread is always stale.) Communal areas are nicely laid out with tabled and...

There are some nice aspects of this hotel and some not good. The food is plentiful and tasty, with four courses every dinner time. However the bread is terrible (this should be a crime in Italy) and you can only sit where they tell you to, no moving around to meet new people. Most of the staff were excellent, especially...

Booked through Crystal Ski and found it to be a simply excellent hotel which combines a family run ethos with a pleasant and caring staff complement, all of whom made our stay effortless and really enjoyable. We were on half board and the food served at both breakfast and evening dinner was of a really high standard. When we went...

This is our third visit and it never disappoints. This year we came with friends and we were so well looked after. This is a great family run hotel and is fabulously quirky. It's very well run, rooms are very comfortable and very clean. Nothing is too much trouble. Food is excellent, try the regional dishes. Another great skiing holiday...

This place does what it says on the tin, solid family hotel, decent food friendly atmosphere, let down somewhat by very expensive drinks and wine list is poor and overpriced. Main feature we booked for was the facility to have ski boot and ski store on piste, this was not available when we arrived due to dispute between hotel and...
