This 3rd generation family hotel is in the Borgata valley just a few kms from the main resort Sestriere. There are chair lifts within 5mins walk from the hotel to take you up to the resort or to Mt Banchevta and there are fine end-of-day run back down into the valley from Mts. Banchetta and Faiteve and the resort of... More

We found the hotel as described but better. Family run and excellent food (Half Board). Always looking to help, when one of the party had an injury, the hotel immediately offered alternative accommodation to help. Yes there were two family dogs there but they were both quiet and kept out of the way. They never attempted to go into the... More

Don't book this hotel if you don't like dogs as there is a massive New Foundland dog lolling around the public areas that Inghams fail to tell you about in their literature. The quality of the food was ok but the choice was poor, limited to 2 choices of main per day of which one was pork 4 nights running.... More

Great family run 3* hotel in a superb location for skiing. We (family of three) came back yesterday from a week holiday there. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. We booked half-board and a had a typical Italian breakfast and 4-course dinner with options to be selected day before - during our stay week we had a variety of dishes, very... More

We stayed at the Banchetta on a ski trip recently. The hotel was clean and tidy although we found the downstairs bar area and restaurant very cold and didn't feel like sitting down there because of it. The food we felt was poor it seemed to lack vegetables and we ate out a few nights just yo get sone variety... More

Great place, we stayed here 'out of season' in early Sept whilst travelling through the Alps. Many places were closed or down right disinterested in offering us rooms. This hotel was clean, great value, very friendly and the breakfast was good...... such a welcome relief. The area is absolutely stunning at this time of year and we would have loved to... More

As already said, this is a great family run hotel, with great staff and owners. Food was great with a lovely hot 4 course meal every night. The rooms are of a good size, except room 10 which appeard to be tiny. There is a little 200m walk to the slopes, but most days you should be able to ski... More

My rating reflects the value for money that we felt we got. When going budget, one has to accept not everything will be perfect!! We stayed in the apartments over Christmas 2013 and the apartment was very good. Self catering would be quite limited - we had half board in the hotel that owns the 2 apartments. The double bedroom... More

We chose to stay in the apartments instead of the hotel - BIG MISTAKE! It was horrible the apartment smelt damp, there were bare cables just above the shower head and if you are any taller than 5ft 7" you have to tilt your head in order to shower as the ceiling is so low, take and then the shower...
