This hotel has an attractive location situated high above the village, but still within a 10 minute walk to the centre. The ascent back is quite steep as other reviewers have mentioned, but during the time I was here a 'Summerbus' service was in operation to provide a much easier option for those tired legs! My initial impressions with the...

We just spent 8 days at the Alaska with our children. The rooms are refurbished, with large balconies overviewing a dreamy valley. The restaurant has not been renovated yet. It offers a very good breakfast and traditional dishes for lunch and dinner. Vegetarian choices are not always on the daily menu but can be requested to the very helpful staff...

Hotel Alaska is perfectly situated on the nursery slopes as well as giving access to a very efficient 'escalator' to the button lift for the main bubbles up the mountain. Very good boot room. The bedrooms are extremely spacious, well appointed and very clean. Great bathroom/double sink unit and v efficient shower with excellent extraction fan! The food is exceptional/plentiful/eclectic....

We were on winter holidays in hotel Alaska. The location of the hotel is excellent for the skiers. Aned there is a free Val Gardeba ticket card to use the bus to come from the village to the hotel; from the hotel to the village there is a nice walk down the hill. The food was excellent ! No words...

My wife and I have just returned from a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Alaska. Located close to the Dantercepies gondola and extremely close to the nursery slopes with a virtually ski out/ski back position. Our room (201) was extremely comfortable with a great view to the front and up the slopes - and with a great 4 poster...

Our double room was spacious and had every facility that we would want .. fridge, safe, TV, large bathroom etc. The balcony faced SE which overlooked the large nursery slopes, valley, Selva itself and the mountains. The hotels ground floor rooms - lounge - bar - restaurant - were large and well decorated. The food was superb throughout the week...

This is a 3 star hotel and that's what you should expect. That said the location is a 5 star, especially in the winter season, it is on top of the ski runs, you can chose both directions without walking 1 meter. The SPA is brand new and it's more 4/5 stars, beautifully built, large, cosy, very good. The rest...

We booked our three-night stay through Booking.Com a few hours before arriving and I can't help thinking that we were treated like second class guests because of it. Our room (104) was very dated and a bit grubby; the mini-bar fridge was un-plugged; there was an annoying box shelf above the bed which housed noisy strip lights and served the...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 night stay here in July/August. The meals were excellent-breakfast was buffet style with a good choice of cold foods. Dinner was 4-courses, incorporating a salad buffet, a choice of starters and main meals, and dessert. The meal choices were different for each of the 11 nights of our stay, with a mixture of Italian and...
