We stayed there for our academic conference in this quiet town. Hotel staff were very friendly. Room facilities were great, breakfast was ok...typical Italian. Pool was nice too and spent our free time around pool and garden....enjoyed our time :-)

We're non-smokers so i can't be 100% certain, but I'm fairly sure that people did smoke in the garden and by the pool. I'm not sure about the balconies. Hope that helps.
