I booked this hotel not seeing reviews. It wasn't as popular in 2006. It is a beautiful location. The trellises, the patio's,the swimming area-all very special. The rooms are basic but in a quaint meditereanean way. The views are fantastic. I was tempted to write because I found it interesting the food reviews and family reviews. We travel Europe every two...

Dear Madam, we want to thank you for your contribution, but we cannot agree with the things you tell. We believe that the numerous reviews of many past guests on this web site and on some others, the presence of our hotel with its restaurant on several prestigious guides and, more than all, the fact that the same guests come...

This is a wonderful little hotel. Tucked away from the main coast road you walk down into an oasis of calm with stunning views and charming rustic surroundings. We stayed here for our honeymoon and I’m so glad we chose it. The food is very tasty and the service from Nicola and his family along with Emiliano and Leopoldo was...

"Yet again, another Gem found hidden in the pages of the wonderful Alistair Sawday guides" This was our first trip to Italy, and our first trip together! We only had one destination in mind and it had to be the Amalfi Coast. Whilst the area itself was just wonderful, the biggest and best suprise of all was the welcome we...

I"m finding difficult to write a review without repeating the word "FANTASTIC" less than 100 times! We were referred to this charming hotel by a friend of a friend...little did we know how lucky we were. After the harrowing but exhilarating drive from Naples, we were greeted a the top of the stairs by Emiliano and Nicola who proceeded to...

We stayed at the Hotel Villa San Michele in June of 2006 with our (then) two pre-teen kids and other family members. When we asked the kids where they wanted to vacation this year, without hesitation both said that they wanted to return to Amalfi and more specifically to the Hotel Villa San Michele. My eleven year old son loved...

After visiting Villa San Michele for our honeymoon in 2007, we had to return for our first anniversary. The hotel is small, very friendly and in a beautiful location below Ravello. On walking out of your room in the mornings to go for a lovely breakfast, with the best freshly squeezed OJ, you are met with the loveliest floral adorned...

Just a warning that this hotel, as well as it's sister hotel just down the road "Villa Scaraparillo" (sp?) is not actually in the town of Ravello. While technically I believe it is Ravello by the sea, the closest town if you can call it that is a sketchy 15 minute walk down the highway, with no sidewalks to speak...

Dear Sir – Madam, we thank you for your review. We want to specify that we’re part of Ravello, as its territory extends from the hills ( where the center is situated) to the coast where we’re located. We reply just to give a contribution to the culture of the people planning to visit our area, then everybody can make...

Whilst the situation of the hotel set into the cliffs leading from the coast road down to the sea is spectacular, the rooms are fairly ordinary and the food a great disappointment. At Euro180/room/night half board (compulsory in high season) for two people, I really would expect a better standard room with much a better standard of food. I understand...

Dear Guest, I still want to thank you for your review although is very critical. Sometimes critics are constructive, so I answer with pleasure. The price of Euro 180,00 per night you paid included breakfast and dinner. The “pathetic” continental breakfast is made of fresh squeezed orange juice (extra in some other hotels) , fresh croissants and bread, milk, coffee,...

My wife , daughter and myself have just returned from a week at this wonderful hotel . Built on different terraced levels from the road down to the sea , the location is stunning ! A "jewel"!!! This is one of the most wonderful places you will find on the Amalfi Coast! When our driver dropped us off he said "this is a special place" and he was absolutley right! We loved everything about it ! For those that relish a small, intimate atmosphere on a fabulous property that is like a private villa with...
