Would thoroughly recommend a break here. The Amalfi Coast is really beautiful with the most amazing scenery and having a place like the Villa Il Frantoio to stay was an added bonus. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotless and the breakfasts delicious. The only drawback for me (as an elderly asthmatic) was the climb to get...

I am not quite sure what we expected, but our room reminded us of a basement suite. However, when we stepped outside, the view was amazing. Unfortunately, the weather was so warm, we could not sit outside becaue it was too hot and the sun was beating on us. We had to retreat to our room. We had a wee...

Our 10 days in Italy will be fondly remembered for our most wonderful 8 days at Villa II Frantoio. The many (220) ancient steps are soon forgotten when arriving at the Villa. Beautifully presented, spectacular views from our private terrace. Rooms were tastefully decorated, spacious , clean and very well appointed. The staff very friendly and more than happy to...

My husband and I just returned from the Villa Il Frantoio and we are still dreaming about our glorious stay there. Initially, it was a bit difficult to find, but once we climbed the 220 ancient steep steps with back packs in tow and found the entrance, we could not have been happier. Our O'livaio room was just beautiful and...

Good things come to those who climb! Hard to find and still work to reach even when you find it, Villa Il Frantoio is worth all the effort. When the enthusiastic owner Domenico recommended to us to arrive by shuttle or taxi, I stubbornly wanted to get to the place from Ravello by two buses and then walking up the...

My husband and I just returned from the Villa and we had an amazing trip. Our adventure started with an early morning train from Rome – Naples – Meta di Sorrento. The Villa arranged for a car to pick us up from that station, so we wouldn’t have to take the bus and walk up the steps with the luggage....

Having seen the B&B develop from a ruin to a beautiful B&B we are really impressed! Congratulations to the Gagliano family! The view is breathtaking, that we knew, but the villa is really very stylish, spotless and with the most welcoming hosts. It is ideal for exploring the beauty of Praiano and nearby cities and not to forgets the beaches....

The Villa was all and so much more than we expected. We had booked the beautiful suite and we were not disappointed. The room was beautiful and the bathroom shower overlooking the see was just a dream. I must concur with one of the review below about the breakfast. Staying at the Villa for one week, it did missed a...

My wife and I came and spent our vacation at Villa il Frantoio. It was so unbelievable that it is hard to even describe. Here is the thing; Positano, Amalfi and Capri are the popular destination towns for tourists, however the best most beautiful town of all is Praiano: completely under-rated. This bed and breakfast has the best service and...

We were initially worried about the negative review of 220 steps - but I can honestly say as a couple in our late fifties, with occasional knee problems, there was no need for concern! There were alternative forms of transport, to the steps, a hill and or local bus, or late at night, after a wonderful meal, a very short...
