After 22 years I decided to return to Palinuro were I have spent all my summer holidays as a kid. I remembered that, in the beginning of the 80's, King's Residence was the most luxurious and expensive hotel then. We arrived at the reception and a very friendly employee, Luisa, told us that they had upgrated us. On internet, we...

I agree with the other comments, in that the setting is amazing, the views are spectacular and the pool is nice. We liked the fact that part of the pool was shallow enough for the kids to paddle about in and the other part was deep enough for them to swim and dive (and us). But no poolside service or...

The only good part at this place is the things which are not made by humans. The nature scene and t he lagoon are great. The rest - horrible. 1. Rooms:  I got the "double prestige room" . It was small, with an old metal bad, cheep tiles on the floor, ugly coloured walls, black and white 14 inch TV-...

We stayed here for 5 nights it was a glorious location beautiful pool walk down to idyllic beach (maybe too many steps if you are elderly or injured) handy walk into town 10 minutes. Breakfasts are good staff very helpful dinner menu is limited and a bit pricey but you do get to look over fantastic view on lovely terrace....

We have recently returned from our honeymoon at this beautiful hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated like royalty by the wonderful staff. When we arrived, the lovely Louisa on Reception knew it was our honeymoon and advised us that they had upgraded us to a superior room as...

The King Residence built alone on the highest peak of Palinuro overlooking away from the village and perched on the bluest of seas above the Baia del Buondormire (Sleep Tight's Bay) is a dream to live, relax and enjoy. The hotel is built so as to have more open than closed spaces and every where are terraces or glass windows...

the hotel dominates a private bay which makes you feel like you're actually a king. the staff is helpful although a bit tight. as for palinuro the town needs a drastic reordering but there are a few nice cafés. Very nice the regional park just on the outskirts of town. My opinion is to go there for a long weekend,...

There are a real variety of reviews on here about the King's Residence and we worried about booking but eventually did due to the location. We went for 5 days in mid June this year, arrived from Pompeii by train and got the bus to Palinuro where we were picked up by King's Residence staff (we were charged for the...

we stayed at this hotel last year and I felt I had to write to put the record straight. We had a lovely time, the rooms are not anything special, but its clean and had everything needed for a good time. The hotel staff do not speak a lot of English, but they are helpful and very good natured. We...

“When we turned up the apartment they had allocated us had two double beds which wouldn't have worked with a 2 and 3 year old so they moved us to another apartment. Ours had a lovely patio overlooking the pool and sea. So they are prepared to change if not happy.”
