Hotel Picchio is clean and the breakfast was great, consisting of a variety of home made cakes, hard boiled eggs, bread, meats, cheese, yogurt and cappuccinos. The hotel itself is outside of the historical centre but it's only a 5 min walk from the train station and the funicular, which takes you to the historical centre where you immediately hop...

Good clean place to stay when visiting Orvieto that's not far from the funicular to the walled city.. hotel offers in door parking at a small fee , but street parking on the street is plentiful and easy to find . The continental breakfast above average.

This a delightful little place off the beaten path but within walking distance to the funiculare (trolley car) that takes you up the hill to the medieval town of Orvieto. The room was basic but clean and in a nicely kept building across the street. They offered secure, garaged parking. The breakfast was outstanding with a wonderful assortment of fresh,...

Nice quiet hotel with a large collection of home made cakes for breakfast. Must see to believe. It is about 100 meters up a steep road from the main highway so might be tough with heavy suitcases. Be aware of the times of closing of the funicular. We were there on Sunday and the restaurants open at 7 for dinner...

This is a nice, family run hotel in a great location; not in the upper city center, but very close to the train station and car rentals. A shuttle and funicular provide easy and quick access to the old Orvieto. Beware…the funicular shuts down at 8:30 PM (Why so early?). Our room was spacious with stove, fridge, good wifi, table...

While not a hotel of which you'd expect to see glowing five star reviews, the Hotel Picchio is a perfectly adequate and decent place to stay in Orvieto. The rooms are clean, kept in good order and comfortable, the staff are personable and helpful and in terms of location it sits within a couple of hundred yards of the funicular...

We were given a room across the road from the Hotel Reception with secure parking right under the building, all of which was excellent. I wouldn't say the staff were particularly helpful or friendly. On checking in we observed there was a large group eating and we asked if we could eat now or later in the evening (it was...

Safe city. Nice place. Very friendly people. Love this place. If I have a chance to visit Orvieto again, will surely stay here. The hotel is on a steep street so pay attention to this. Very near to train station. The only downside is that there is no place to eat nearby. Only one restaurant near the corner.

I stayed in a room with 3 beds which I shared with my mum and my sister for 4 nights. We found the room comfortable and were happy with the service and amenities there. We thought highly of the owners and all of the staff were very helpful. The hotel is situated near the train station which was great for...

The breakfast is very good homemade cakes). The lady is nice and friendly. However, the room, although nice has a horrible bathroom with an old jacuzzi bath (but the massage and bubbles don't work), the towel hook came off as I hung the towel and the sink is small. Wifi offered in the room is not good enough (too slow)....
