Wonderful pizzas served in the hotel restaurant/pizzeria. Very nice ambience on the Monday evening we visited with all the other diners being Italian. Did not stay in the hotel so cannot comment but the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and efficient, and spoke...More

Hotel in an old villa, almost castle like. Rooms and bathrooms are somewhat spartan without any luxury. Breakfast is limited choice and bread can be finished. Location is nice with swimming pool. It all lacks some maintenance.

The hotel phoned a taxi to take us to the funicular station (across road from train station), taxi €15 euros one way, but worth it in our opinion, driver gave us his card to phone for return journey, he arrived promptly, was courteous & spoke excellent English.
I think you could get a bus from road near hotel or you could walk about - 25 mins or so l guess, busy traffic route though . Funicular train is €1.30 each way, including shuttle bus from Piazza Cahen to Piazza Duomo.
