Hotel Virgilio is a modern looking hotel in the center of the beautiful city of Orvieto There was a lovely breakfast with fresh Italian cakes included. Every morning I awoke to the baking of croissants and the smell was irresistible. My room contained 2 single beds and was a nice size for 2 people. I peaked into other rooms which...

Very nice location right on the duomo square. (About a 20 minute walk from the top of the funicular, if you are coming by train.) Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was, however, quite small, even for Italy.

Perfecto location. It's not the bedding or accommodation so don't expect too much. Love the location and Duomo view. Email the hotel direct for best rates. Ask for a driver to pick you up at the airport.

Clean, modern and standard rooms which are somewhat larger than normal. Fully manned desk. We wanted to get in early so we took a rear room. The front rooms look out at the square and cathedral. I would ask for these. The hotel is 100 yards from where the funicular shuttle bus (Bus A) stops so extremely convenient if arriving...

I will preface this review by saying, we take full responsibility for the room booking. We booked economy. When seeing the room it was very tiny for two adults. We couldn't walk by each other without the other getting out of the way. Tried to upgrade, but superiors were sold out. The female receptionist was very nice and offered to...

Thank you for your review. the council the next time to stay away from the Hotel Virgilio. The customer should be informed about what book and if you want to save money, can not have the same comforts of who pays for and spends more. as I read its superficial review my eyes noticed the difference with the other previous...

This is a tiny (only 13 rooms altogether) hotel, right on the main square, looking straight at the cathedral. It has recently been remodeled, and it makes great use of every inch of space. In what would normally just be the lobby, they have also included a tiny bar area, an elevator, and winding stairs. The rooms are well-laid out...

If you are in Orvieto to see the old town, you could not find a better location. 50-100m from the cathedral, with restaurants and other must-sees in walking distance. At least in the very end of June, it was easy to find parking just opposite the duomo, if not you could park downhill and take the furnicular and a shuttle...

From the warm reception we received from the desk clerk, Ilaria, to the very comfortable room with windows overlooking the Duomo, you could not have a better stopping off spot in Orvieto. Orvieto like many of the hill top towns is best visited early or late to avoid the day trip crowds.

We stayed in this hotel at the end of our driving holiday before embarking on our cruise. What a wonderful location on the town square with the magnificent cathedral right in front of you. Car parking is in a small area off the square and costs about 10€ overnight. The staff were very friendly, efficient and courteous and you couldn't...
