This review is very belated. My wife and I stayed at Podere Dionora in late May this year with our daughter and her boyfriend. There was a bit of e-mailing back and forth when we were making our booking and my daughter sent me an e-mail saying "Giulio sounds like a champ". And so he was. We had two of...

If you do not get the time to read my full review let me tell you up front that this should be the #1 PLACE TO STAY in not just Montepulciano...but in ALL OF TUSCANY!!!!! I am a hard critic but me and my wife could not have asked for a better experience, a better setting, and a better friend/manager...

The biggest mistake we made was to book only one night and we will definitely be returning. This was an oasis of calm. Hidden away just a short drive from the A1 and five minutes from Montepulciano Dionora is a gem. The property looks out over rolling Tuscan countryside to Pienza, a view you can soak in as you relax...

Immaculate property in a perfect location. Host/Owner Giorgio is a real pro and wealth of information. He made the best coffee we had in Italy every morning with breakfast (also very good) - an impressive claim considering the amount of coffee we drank across the country during our 2 week vacation!

My wife and I stayed at Podere Dionora from Nov 4-8 and felt that it was the best lodging experience we have had in more than 25 years visiting Italy. The setting is breathtaking---a beautifully restored farmhouse and separate 3 unit stone building----views over the tuscan countryside ---memorable sunsets---completely private setting in the hills near Montepulciano, with views to Pienza-----surrounded...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay in Dionora. It would most suit couples who appreciate piece and quiet rather than families. The pool was glorious, the service was unobtrusive and of very high quality. Montepulciano is my favourite town in Tuscany and a great variety of restaurants are only a 10 minute drive away. A very romantic spot. I...

Returned to Dionora for our wedding anniversary we have been visiting since 2004! This is a truly wonderful place, stunning views, swimming pool and rooms. Real attention to detail with marvellous linens and towels, beautiful furniture and rooms. But what makes the place really special is the staff, led by Giulio. Nothing is too much trouble, recommendations and bookings made...

Just returned from a 2 week stay in Italy. We spent 2 nights at Dionora and wish we could have stayed longer. It was jaw dropping beautiful. Every which way you look there is beauty. Part of the treat of staying there was the inn keeper, Guillo. He made us feel so taken care of which was so appreciated. I...

This was our first time visiting Tuscany and Guilio and his team secured a customer for life. The staff welcomed us at the end of the long Dionora driveway and removed every obstacle to full relaxation that comes with modern day life. We only stayed 3 nights but it felt like home...surrounded by an incredible team of hosts. Here are...

“Before your first trip here, you may want to pre-program the location into Google Maps (it is listed, if you look it up) and use your phone to guide you when you are close. Google Maps will guide you up the dirt road right to the inn driveway. Relying on a rental car GPS would have only gotten us to within 1+ km of the correction location. Also, there are two separate places to enter the dirt road leading here from the main road: one from the Montepulciano direction, and one from the direction leading towards Pienza.”
