Great staff, great restaurant view and great food. Also, the food is a lot, is masterchef made and is cheap compared with other locations. The wine is cheap for such a great location. The rooms were cleaned every day. All was great.
Perfect place for a holiday in Tuscany. We visited Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca. The staff of the hotel was super nice. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast and dinner very good and served at the room at the top of the hotel with a stunning view on the surrounding area. An unforgettable family holiday!
It was the first time I’ve stayed in this part of Tuscany and what an excellent choice of town and hotel. Montecatini is delightfully young and active with super shops and plenty of places to eat and things to do – including of course a trip to Montecatini Alto. The hotel has a nice feel to it, sort of comfortable rather than clinical like so many of the chain hotels. The staff were very helpful, spoke good English and couldn’t do enough for us. We had a superior room which had a double aspect to the front of the hotel – it was nice and comfortable, with an excellent bed and pillows. The roof top (enclosed) restaurant served a good breakfast and a very good evening meal, so good we used it several times and wish we had booked the higher package to include massages. The ‘wet’ spa area downstairs is compact but imaginatively laid out, and the first floor ‘dry’ area is very relaxing and has one of the best saunas I’ve ever used. Would we go back – Oh yes.…
My single room was tiny, the bed really narrow. The minibar has 2 bottles of water that look complimentary, but they cost €2 each. This is not clearly marked. My bedsheets were stained and it took about an hour of persuasion till they finally brought fresh and clean ones. Bugs in the bathroom, small but nasty looking. Some staff cannot speak English. My friends got a double room with some weird wall paint on it.The hotel has a spa but even if you are a paying guest, they charge you €35 for a cpl of hours. I ordered a coffee in the lobby bar yesterday, but Im still waiting for it.Central location.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this hotel. I was there for 5 days. The staff was wonderful and the location was perfect. I was with a tour that had a day to day planned itinerary. It was very hot during our visit - 107F - but the hotel was air conditioned and comfortable. The only thing is the rooms are all different and our room was VERY small. Not much room to walk around the sides of the beds. Our room was set up as two twins, and it was like my friend and I were sleeping in one bed. Our beds were not very comfortable. The bathroom was tiny and the shower was barely 3' x 3'. There were 32 of us in our group and we were the only ones that received a room this small -- OF COURSE!! Luckily we didn't have to spend much time there. The dining room was beautiful and had a nice daily breakfast. Our group had 3 or 4 dinners there and the food was always delicious. I would definitely stay there again, but require a larger room.…
The hotel is situated in centre of a busy tourist town. When first booked our image off the hotel was one with more serene surroundings. Coming from Canada our expectation of a Hotel Spa is one with more tranquil surroundings. But that is on us for not doing more intensive research. Rooms were lovely and comfortable for all. The shower we had was a bit awkward to enter and exit for someone with mobility issues. Kudos to the amazing restaurant staff. Morning breakfast was amazing. Certainly the selection of foods and attention by staff was 5 star. The pool which is 7 minutes drive (by Italian standards) was wonderfully refreshing after a steaming July day of touring Disappointment (3 star rating) came from as anxiety caused by the closure of the train tracks to Florence. Part of our group of 10 had to get to airport for an early flight. Due to closure this was not possible. Alternate arrangements needed to be made which entailed cancelling a room. This was not an easy venture to do with front desk staff. One personnel said no problem and another said later in th day that this was not possible. She offered to contact her manager and let us know. It was but 14 hours later and we had not heard anything. It was not till an email to the manager from us that the issue was solved. It is unfortunate that our stay at this lovely hotel was marred with some miscommunication.…
My wife and I stayed here as a base with a Tour of Tuscany with Trafalgar. The location of Hotel is excellent. Rooms ok ,could do with a bit of an upgrade. Breakfast was average. The hotel only has 1 x lift and in a 5 story hotel it stopped work which is not great. Laundry service was excellent .Staff could be a bit more friendly..
My wife and I , together with other two couples, have managed to make the most of our weekend wellness package and felt most welcome from the moment we set foot in the reception. Very friendly and professional staff assisted us throughout the facilities at all time. We spent the whole afternoon floating away in the thermal pool and unwinding in the sauna and the steam room. A delicious five course gourmet dinner, exceeded our expectations with additional great selection of cheese and desserts. The well assorted buffet Breakfast with scrambled eggs and assortment of meats, fruits, breads and bakery was also a lovely way to start the next day, followed by a gentle relaxing massage. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall a very good value for money where the service is great and the staff very accommodating.…
Stayed here for 1 night with my girlfriends (an escapade from the daily mother-role routine). We chose this hotel for the wellness packages... Our aim was to have a sort of stress-free vacay at least for a hit-and-run. Overall we did enjoy our stay here. Rooms are spacious however a bit of dark due to the heavy colored tents. In my humble opinion the style is too extravagant. We loved the goodies at the relaxing area of the SPA (only blemish is that there is no privacy in the relaxing area as it is on the same area of the bar/lobby and there are no beds. To be specific, you have to go to another floor if you want to lay down and relax. It is not really comfy). Their panoramic resto is such a jewel and the food is delicious. Breakfast perfect! Lots of choices! The barman was very cordial (I really enjoyed the Columbia spritz!). A particular mention goes to CLAUDIA for her amazing hands! She went up and above our expectations. Thank you Claudia for pampering us! …
Just aside Piazza del Popolo, the absolute center of Montecatini. 100 meters walking from the STATION (Montecatini Centro). When arrived at the hotel we have had the possibility to choose among three different rooms. With different environment and colors. Breakfast at the “closed terrace” on fifth floor with big variety of food and drink including choices for gluten free and lactose free diet. One of the best choices in Montecatini.
