We spent almost a week with our 2 small kids at this hotel and it was a great and relaxing experience! The staff and owners are very friendly, the hotel has very good amenities (3 swimming pools, 3 minutes walk from nice beach, kid's club) and the food buffets contains many delicious choices. The bedrooms were always very clean which is important for us. Whenever we needed anything, the team helped us in a heartbeat. Milano Marittima pedestrian zone with many bustling shops is only a short walk away and we enjoyed incredible ice cream along the way. Definitely a great choice for stays at the Adria!

We stayed whilst participating in the nearby Ironman event and couldn't have found a more friendly, helpful team of staff. The hotel is friendly and welcoming, the staff go out of their way to assist you. The food is absolutely amazing - a great selection buffet at breakfast and wonderful lunches and evening meals. We didn't feel the need to eat elsewhere! The pool area is lovely and the hotel is also right next to the beach. Everything was brilliant - if we come back to the area we would certainly stay here again.

HOTEL DERBY STAFF We stayed at Hotel Derby for a week in June and it was absolutely wonderful! The owners and staff clearly want to please the guests. Even though we could not speak Italian (we did try), we were greeted with warm smiles and a staff that went out of the way for our every request. (Example: My daughter got a little cut while playing outside and they ran to get her band-aides and anti-bacterial ointment. They did this without us asking and with great concern for a small cut.) FOOD Every day we were amazed by the range of foods that were served daily (dozens of options) and the desserts were spectacular. We travel the world and have lived in Europe for a few years and this has become one of our favorite destinations. We will be back year after year! These are homemade dishes, lots of seafood and fresh vegetables and fruits. We loved the pastas, soups, seafood, desserts and wines that were served. I heard they have a new chef and he is amazing! ROOMS The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff cleaned everyday and did a thorough job. Our room was not large, but it was perfect for a quick siesta or to get ready before dinner. We stayed with our daughter (4) in a little bed and my husband and I had a queen/king bed. Each room also had a balcony, which was nice in the morning and evening to hear the ocean. LOCATION The other wonderful feature of this beautiful hotel is the location. We would get up and eat a fantastic breakfast, then swim at the pool (lifeguard on staff) with our daughter. She would often run over to the babysitting area and make a painting/drawing/bracelet before we went back to our room. Then we would eat lunch, have a siesta and walk to the beach (just on the other side of the hotel) and watch the kids play and be near the waves. We would end the evening with another great meal at Hotel Derby and then walk to town (5 minutes or less) and wander the cute beachtown stores that stayed open until midnight. My daughter also enjoyed the carousel and arcade down the street. One night we rented bikes and went all over town. This is the most family friendly hotel I have ever stayed with in my travels. All the people working are warm and friendly. I wish I could speak more Italian to share my thoughts with them in their language.

My wife and I come to Cervia every year for the Artevento at Pinarella (kite festival), but this year we decided for a change. Boy, are we happy we did! It's not quite the season, so the hotel was offering a deal. We were there for two weeks. The food was fantastic, the service was top notch, very friendly staff and they go the extra mile. Mario and Salvatore in the dining area treated us right and the owners were always checking in. We felt right at home. Views of the beach, the city center is a short walk. Quiet at night, and they accept dogs (we have three). Go, if you get the chance! Definitely looking at next year at the same place, and maybe later this year :-)

My daughter and I just returned from a six day stay at this wonderful hotel with her 18 month old son. The owners and staff couldn't do enough for us. Our stay was extremely pleasant and they catered to us and my grandson in a way I have never before experienced. Nothing was too much for them. The restaurant staff, and in particular Marius, went above and beyond what one can expect from a waiter. We definitely plan on returning next year!

It is a very good family friendly hotel. Great pool area, we actually enjoying the pool better than the beach. Tons and tons of food served lunch ad dinner; probably a bit of a waste. The owners are nice and seem to really care about making you happy and satisfied.

We stayed here in the summer of 2014. Having driven to the hotel from Scotland, it was very comforting to be booked in by the very friendly and attentive staff. Our room was on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the street with a view out to the sea over the beachfront. The room was comfortable with good storage, the en suite was modern and both were spotlessly clean. We ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel every day and found it very enjoyable. The standard of the food and the variety of options were fantastic especially as my wife was pregnant at the time. The hotel is very well situated. It has it's own section on the beach and is only a 5 minute walk from the town centre. The town itself is an interesting place for a walk in the evenings. The pool and pool area were well maintained and the pool attendant was a helpful presence. Overall, the stay at the hotel was made memorable by both the location and the staff. There didn't seem to be a large Brit presence in the town which was good for a bit of foreign immersion. Some of the staff deserve a mention for being so helpful, Cristian, Sofia (Spoke the best English) and the Maitre D' (can't remember his name!).

Firstly, Michele, Mario and their team were great. Proper customer service and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was a little cramped(there were bigger ones but hotel was fully booked) and as a result, bathroom for 2 people wad tiny. However, food was good value and location couldnt have been better. Hotel offers free parking and bikes are available to get around town in evenings.
