My bedroom was only small & the bathroom a little tired. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard. The management are very sparing with the toiletries with one shampoo sachet per person each day!. The views from the hotel are stunning & it is a pleasure to breakfast al fresco beside the lake. The breakfast is limited & do...

Other reviewers have provided many details that I agree with regarding this hotel that has a great location but falls short of expectations for a Four Star Hotel. The food was the most disappointing, from a meager selection at breakfast, with a scarcity of fresh fruit, only hard rolls and no croissants or pastry, to really tasteless dinners, usually fish...

Dear Customer Relations, I was called a few days ago by Citalia enquiring with regards my recent holiday experience. I have to say I was impressed by this as I was with the rest of the Citalia experience. I did, however, have a few issues with the Excelsior Bay Hotel and was advised, by your colleague, to put these into...

A lovely terrace to sit on and eat breakfast , the breakfast had a great selection. The staff were nice and always wanting to help. The evening food wasnt the best but pretty good - the pasta dishes were nice. Our room was 128 which was a nice room- very clean, with a side lake view. the swimming pool was...

My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful holiday to the Italian lakes. We stayed at four lakeside hotels, all 4-star. However, this one at Malcesine was anything but. It has a great view over the lake and is ideally situated just a ten-minute walk into the centre of Malcesine. However, it was more like a 2-star hotel....

We only had stayed B&B as the dinner reviews were not good and we enjoy trying different local restaurants and the short evening walk in...

The location is amazing with stunning views. We asked for a side lake view and we got put in room 124 which has a lovely big balcony and the most beautiful view. Breakfast is on the lakeside terrace, lovely food in an amazing setting. We were not keen on the evening menus but enjoyed having drinks on the terrace in...

Hotel in in a great location is kept very clean and the maids are fantastic it's a pity the front of house staff are not. Only speak to you of you speak first, don't smile and seem that they wish they were somewhere else. Rooms nice and clean and hotel well looked after. Food not great average would best describe...

Absolutely beautiful setting right on lake side. The large outside terrace which was used for everything from breakfast to late night drinks was the envy of all who walked past. Food was alright, sometimes even very good, but not a lot of variety......had to make your evening meal choice at breakfast which was a novelty. Staff all excellent and friendly,...
