The Auberge was quaint old pub with rooms to stay if required. It was rather dark,we were the only guests which was a shame,so lacked atmosphere. The drinks were served as good as a top London hotel the wine was superb. The lady who served us was lovely but had to go and keep asking the chef simple questions, example is fish on or...

Fantastic little family run restaurant serving locally sourced foods. The cheese soufflé starter was fantastic and well worth the 20min wait. All the food is freshly prepared and beautifully served. The owners treat you like friends coming for dinner!! Don't expect big platefuls but we came away having had enough to eat.

I spent the night here on business. I had dinner at the restaurant and would highly recommend the steak! The hosts were lovely and very accommodating. I had to leave early for work so they even arranged for me to have breakfast earlier than they started serving it.

I have driven past this place so many times and always thought it looked nice from the outside , my husband surprised me with a overnight stay , evening meal and breakfast - The room we had was a very high standard , 4 poster bed which was exceptionally comfortable , chaise , multi function shower , impeccably clean and...

This was our first visit to The Auberge, staying in the area and celebrating a house purchase. We had such a warm greeting and were shown to a fantastically comfortable room, more of a suite really. Really comfy bed and huge shower. We were on the DBB package and enjoyed one of the best meals we've had in recent memory,...

Stayed her for a couple of nights in late February. It's on the road between Ipswich and Norwich; basically in the middle of nowhere. Very nice rooms butbthebreal surprise was in the quality of food. It was exceptional as was the quality of service. I don't know why you would ever find yourself around here but if you do make...

Thank you Tommytomkins for your kind review. We're glad you enjoyed dinner... and had the Crépes Suzzetes (one of my favourites) for dessert as it was Shrove Tuesday! We would love to welcome you and Mrs TT again in the future to try our tasting menu! Thank you again, The Auberge

We stayed at The Auberge following a long walk in Thetford Forest. This is not a hotel but a restaurant with rooms, so don't expect hotel facilities which does not spoil the experience. Rooms are well appointed, very clean and the bathroom has an excellent shower. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a great meal, the menu is fairly...

Thank you runningman49 for your review. It looks like you needed some "fuel" for all that walking! Thornham Walks are lovely, I just hope the weather was kind enough for a good walk. We hope to see you again in the future. Kind Regards, The Auberge

We visited The Auberge restaurant as a foursome a couple of weeks ago as a birthday treat for my husband. We were met by a very friendly gentleman who was lovely throughout the entire evening. We ordered drinks and then sat at our table. I ordered a rib eye steak - medium rare - as it came highly recommended, my...

We booked The Auberge as a base to stay at because we were meeting friends from Diss and having driven past it many times, we decided to give it a try! We visit Norfolk often and have stayed in most of the hotels in the area in the past. There is ample parking, the location, although on the A140, is...

Unusually I am writing a review having not visited. I booked the four poster room at short notice and with a 100% charge if I later cancelled. Seconds after booking I looked hard at the pictures and realised that there was a possibility that the bed had a valance but no canopy. I checked and was indeed right. This was...

Curryken, thank you very much for your 'generous' review of the Auberge. We are genuinely unhappy when we are obliged to charge a cancellation fee, we would much rather our guests arrive and had an enjoyable stay with us. we do hope we'll have the pleasure of welcoming you some time in the future.
