This exceptional view is the main attraction of this Hotel. Unfortunately however the as part of the booking the breakfast and Bar set up didn't quite match our expectation. The food was below par, quite band of taste, a great selection of fruits, 'pre cut' why? and a small amount of white breads and processed meats. All a little too organised to feel comfortable with. No pool or main lounge area. Nice staff however for a price I would look further for more inclusions in a package. Wifi is very poor of connection.
We spent three nights here in July. The views from our rooms were superb and both had a terrace. The hotel had a large terrace for dinner and drinks before dinner with the same lovely view. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although it is a little way out of the town, this meant it was quiet and there was a shuttle bus which was convenient. A great spot to enjoy the harbour at Lipari and explore the islands.
This is a lovely hotel on the port in Lipari. It is cute and the rooms are nice, with air conditioning. Nothing extravagant or luxurious, but it is clean and the staff is wonderful, attentive and helpful. Breakfast is traditionally Italian and it is served in a cute little room that has seating, or you can eat outside on the terrace. The view is beautiful and the location is very nice.
We spent three nights in this small hotel (12 rooms) all with terrace and sea views. Service is attentive and always delivered with a smile. Reception is helpful with reservation of restaurants and activities. Breakfast served on the terrace with variety of fruits and sweets. The Hotel is 3km from downtown Lipari, we only used transport at arrival / departure because if luggage, otherwise walked and enjoyed the view. Recommended!
We spent two nights at this hotel during a 14-days tour of Sicily (9 hotels). We arrived with the ferry in the late evening and were greeted by an extremely welcoming and helpful staff, eager to propose an alternative room, when the first one didn’t please us. The rooms are generally very nice with a fantastic view over the city of Lipari and the Vulcano Island. The receptionist recommended a restaurant belonging to the same company as the hotel, but which is among the best rated ones in Tripadvisor (see my review of Filippino). They even drove their hotel minivan to show us the way to the restaurant, as we were with our own car. The breakfast is served on a nice terrace, but is poor. Upon our departure, the hotel didn’t hand out a fiscal receipt.
With a location like this, you might not need to try to hard to keep the guests happy, but the management and staff at A Pinnata work very hard, but unobtrusively to ensure that everyone had a thoroughly superb experience. I was lucky enough to be part of the amazing Enza's Savouring Sicily tour which stayed at A Pinnata, already written about by Pam S. The management and staff were very hospitable, and ready to respond happily to our every request. They were very generous with their time and suggestions on what to see and do, and happily recommended visits to their competitors' cafes and restaurants. Hopefully we can return for a longer stay next time. (Pam did not mention the pleasure experienced in having drinks on the top terrace as the sun set.) What a superb establishment, with connections to the most superb restaurant in Lipari.…
Our beautiful tour leader, Enza, from Savouring Sicily in Melbourne, took us to stay at this beautiful hotel in Lipari. The views from the hotel across the water and the town are truly wonderful. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the rooms are spacious and clean. We had breakfast each morning on the top terrace which was an amazing way to start the day. The hotel is a little way from the town but with a shuttle bus this is not an issue. We stayed for two nights but would love to return to this hotel for a longer stay and explore the islands further.
We found it through Clarissa Viaggi travel agency that arranged our stay in Lipari. It couldn't have been a better choice!!! The staff is very friendly and extra helpful, the rooms very clean and the view is truly breathtaking! Even thought it is not invite very center, the hotel provides a shuttle bus that makes getting to the center easy. Breakfast was very good (even though I am a difficult guest as I gluten free but Cicio was very helpful and understanding). This hotel is worth the price! If you are planning on going to Lipari (which I strongly recommend), don't miss it!
Stayed at the hotel for a week at the end of july 2012. Clean well kept hotel, pleasant rooms superb views from balcony. Breakfast buffet was fine with a fair range of items. All staff polite and helpful at all times. The hotel does not have a restaurant which is a shame and I think would work well considering the views it would offer, but it no great problem as there are good restaurants a few steps along the road a. Would recommend the town and the hotel as a really delightful place for a relaxing break
We traveled to Lipari in July 2012. We stayed at this hotel for a week. Nice location at the edge of the hillside with a good view of a yatch port. We also can view the Vulcano from the platform in front of our room. Even though this hotel is a bit far from the town, we were not worried because this hotel provides shuttle to town as well as to the nearest beach, the Canetto (Danilo is the driver for the hotel, he is very helpful and definitely will try his best to fulfil your request, tq Danilo for your service when we were there). The room is very clean & equipped with a standard facilities. Bartolina is the person in charge for the housekeeping. She will make sure that your room is clean everyday. Breakfast is good as well. Chiro is the person in charge for the bar. He is a good coffee maker ( tq Chiro). The reception also very friendly and helpful. Aldo and angelo (if i'm not mistaken) is the person in charge for this. In all, we are happy during our stay at this hotel. We recommended this hotel. Tq A'Pinnata....…
