The staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommended restaurants and printed off bus timetables etc. Breakfast was lovely and the hotel is quirky and unique. Perfect position for the harbour bars and eatery’s and the port for transfers to other islands etc. We visited Vulcano and Stromboli from Lipari and did several really lovely walks on Lipari which is really beautiful.
Good comfortable rooms set in garden. Lots of outdoor area to use. Quaint decor and museum items scattered around. Very good breakfast. Within easy walking distance of everything. Friendly helpful staff
English below. We were not able to try Oriente hôtel as we got stuck on Stromboli because of bad weather and all boats were cancelled for 3 days. Despite early pre warning to the hotel, they refused any refund, hiding behind booking.com conditions while it is upon hotel to decide on refund. Rooms were likely rented again to people stuck on Lipari... Real customer service shows up in difficult time, clearly not up to expectations so be aware...…
This hotel was part of our hike journey in Eolian islands. A very atypical place with its collections of ... everything! amazing! the rooms in the garden are lovely, again you feel alike at home. Breakfast was good and complete.
We had a chance to stay at this amazing place for 6 nights and never tired of it! You know it is different from the get-go when you see the front window filled with antiques which you discover is only one-hundredth of the collection which decorates the entire premises (except inside the guest rooms). The hotel is actually an official museum, which was started by the current owner's (Manuela) father. The rooms are maintained impeccably, each offering a roomy veranda and nice bathrooms. The breakfast is very nice and offers American style coffee as well as other beverages. We were very fortunate to be there when the lemons and oranges were for picking, which you were welcome to do. The gardens were remarkable with many garden tables and chairs. Loved it! Location was great, very close to the main street and reasonably close to the ports.…
Antonello picked me up from the port and he was very helpful throughout my stay. The main bit of the hotel is absolutelyfull of spotless antiques and memorabilia if you can cope with that, you'll have a good time . There is a lovely garden You have a great breakfast. Room was fully equipped andquiet, if a bit spartan. But after the main bit of the hotel, that could be a relief
First of all there's Antonello. He's the afternoon desk clerk and is so sweet and enthusiastic! We called from the ferry dock and he was there in a flash with his funky little van. I don't think he speaks a lot of English but luckily I get along ok in Italian. Our peaceful room was one in the courtyard with a porch, table, chairs and a laundry rack on it. The garden surrounding us had lemon and orange trees, lizards and singing birds. So peaceful. The hotel is convenient and central to the rest of the town and both ports. We walked everywhere easily. The room was spacious and very clean. Be prepared for hard beds and pillows in Sicily. In 5 weeks that's all we experienced. The breakfast is good and plentiful. Antonello is very helpful with giving tips and advice. We stayed there for 7 nights and I did not want to leave!! Would stay there in a heartbeat. Wifi did not work inside our room, we had to go out onto the porch in front of the room. A tiny bit inconvenient but did not detract from the stay at all. The owner of the hotel definitely likes his antiquities - set up almost like a museum. Stuff everywhere - and interesting if you take the time to look at it, which I recommend.…
I was picked up at the night from the port (eventhough hotel si very near), got a map and advice about town. Hotel is few steps from the main street, to the beach you can take a bus or walk cca 4km. Breakfast is buffet with sweet pastries, ham, cheese, juices etc, and also eolian speciality capari. You can have coffee from machine, but ask the staff to make you cappucino. There is nice garden, perfect to chill out in the evening with the glass of malvasia from their bar. Room was enough for me, basic stuff, minifridge, tv, towels, toilletries with balcony, cleaned every day.In fhe night there is sometimes noise from the main street, but ok. Wifi is only in the dining room and lobby, so that is little bit unconvenient, but who would be on lipari and spend time on internet :)) Staff was always helpful and very gentle, make you feel like home. I needed to check out very early morning and it was ok, they even fixed me up basic breakfast. Hotel itself is like a museum, you are still finding new and new things to admire. I really enjoyed my stay and when coming back to lipari i will definitely stay here! Thank you very much!…
My hosts on Filicudi had recommended this place, which contains an eccentric collection of found objects. Room was tidy, clean and quiet. I had an early ferry in the morning and a vast breakfast buffet was laid on for me before the usual time.
Where to start, the owner is a nice guy seems grumpy but really polite, the room is extremely comfy best nights sleep I have had all holiday, the air con is very powerful which is good this time of year I'm very happy with the price, I'm only here for 2 nights but it was really good and I really enjoyed my stay here, the garden is open and stunning with ornaments and places to catch the sun I fell asleep and burned so whoops but all in all very good, the breakfast was amazing really good very happy will come back with children one day
