HOTEL EUROPA **** CAMAIORE. The Cardinal Villa, Hotel Europa (4 stars), was built in 1880 in Lido di Camaiore, Versilia (Tuscany), 20 meters from the Tirreno coastline. In the year 2000 the hotel had initiated a modernization process that converted the building to become a splendid Liberty Villa, with all the comforts necessary to guarantee first-class customer service. On the shoulder of the Versilia Riveria lies, in all its magnificence, the Alpi Appuane mountain range that in coexistence with the Tirreno coastline offers countless beauties founded by nature and human intervention. An extraordinary environmental and landscape scenario full of cultural and historical assets, to which its heredity, Hotel Europa also fits. From the hotel it is possible to visit important cultural cities such as Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Siena…. Hotel Europa has 30 rooms each with its own unique particularities. The furniture and fittings are very refined and all rooms are equipped with all services and comforts expected from a four star hotel: air-conditioning, TV, telephone, hairdryer, minibar and safe. For beach lovers Hotel Europa offers an external discounted beach facility. The hotel has a homely atmosphere with a modern dining room, bar, TV room, free Internet / WI-FI access, swimming pool with jacuzzi, sauna, bicycle hire and free internal parking.

What a fantastic hotel! Amazing location and very Italian style. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to help you. And the breakfast it out of this world… everything you can think of is available and as much as you can eat. So we highly recommend this hotel. Well done guys and thank you for a marvellous stay.

We stayed here for 6 nights beginning August and had a great stay. Our room was very clean, comfy bed and excellent air con. Great choice for breakfast and fresh fruit every day. We often had lunch at the hotel as well which was lovey and very fresh. There was always free beds round the pool which were very comfy. Thank you Ron with your wealth of knowledge and serving the beers at 4pm. Thank you Vicky we miss you and can’t wait to come back again.

A lovely, beautiful hotel with fantastic wonderful staff led by the amazing Luciano who is so hard working and never stops. Only a couple of minutes from the sea front amazing breakfast in a beautiful setting right by the pool . Free safe and air conditioning if you fancy a stay in highly stylish Tuscany I would highly recommend.

So, My girlfriend and I stayed here in July on our Tuscan driving holiday. It looks a little underwhelming from the outside and the aesthetics generally weren’t that attractive to us, but it had some really nice positives. Positives Great location, right on the main drag near the shop and beach. Pool and outside, nice relaxing, clean and not crowded. Service, not luxurious but everyone really helpful and trying to make sure you h everything you needed, which goes a long way we feel. Room was on the small side, but clean and nice. Bed a little firm, but that’s a personal taste thing. Room felt nice. Parking onsite, but I don’t know if we’re lucky or supposed to book. Might be first come, first served? Link to beach resort. The beach is private so to access it you have to go through one of the beach places on the front. The hotel gives you a small discount off this. Negatives Nothing substantial

We booked a deluxe double room which was ridiculously small. The room had been redecorated but there was very little storage spaced. The room has been badly designed and no thought had been given to guests who stay more than 3 days having space to hang and store clothes and toiletries. We requested more hangers but they didn't have any left! So our room resembled a jumble sale as we had clothes everywhere. The beds and pillows are very firm. The website is very misleading as they have taken a pic of the room by angling the camera at the mirror to make it look bigger. I questioned this with the receptionist who would not take take on board my comments. There is a good choice of cold buffet breakfast but the scrambled eggs and bacon were always cold and kept running out and not topped up unless you asked the waiting staff several times. There was no other choices of hot food so it got boring after day 3. Very disappointing the fruit juices weren't fresh and again the very sweet concentrate juice kept running out and was not refilled unless we continually chased. The two waiting staff running breakfast weren't particularly friendly or happy. They didn't seem able to cope and most of the time didn't clear tables. We ended up clearing away dirty crockery and cutlery ourselves. Don't rely on the reception staff to give you accurate info about public transport. We were told the trains to Lucca were frequent but when we got to the station at 10.15am we found the next train didn't go until 12.07pm. And the same applies to the bus into Viarregio. We waited for 45 mins and gave up and walked. It is a really lovely walk along the esplanade so it was fine. With the exception of Ron, the barman and one of the receptionists who checked us in and out, we didn't find the service from the staff in the hotel approachable, friendly or efficient.

The structure is beautiful outside, a bit disappointing inside, where the rooms are very small and the spaces tight. The rooms should be much better soundproofed because the noise diffusion is really excessive. Very well the common areas, from breakfast to the pool, offer a nice service (rare to find in Versilia), really good parking service (given the exorbitant costs of the blue lines). Breakfast is really rich and the cakes / buns are great. For my standards is difficult to think that this could be a 4-star hotel, but for the offer of Versilia is instead a good solution. I give an extra point for the kindness of the staff and especially the willingness to support and resolve a small mishap that arose during check in.

We escaped an awful hotel and came here begging for a room at the last minute. We were accommodated in the nicest way, the room was wonderful and while not available for all our desired period, we loved it. We were then moved to another room, smaller and not restored like the first, nevertheless perfect, clean and beautiful. The staff is WONDERFUL, they are sweet and eager to help. We had the most delicious breakfasts and lunch salads. I am vegan and there were plenty of choices for me as well. We loved this much this place we will certainly be back! Thank you all!

We stayed here in late June, this really is a lovely hotel with very attentive staff who really go the extra mile, they are all so friendly and helpful. Room was spacious with really comfy beds, breakfast was served on outside terrace and was superb, big selection of fresh fruit, juices, breads, cakes and hot options all with fresh tea and coffee. Pool area and gardens are a lovely spot for an aperitif or night cap. Overall a lovely hotel in a great location, will definitely be back. Much prefer Lidi Di Camaiore to Viareggio as a base.

This hotel is so far from the mainstream hotels you get, a stay here is very restful and good for you soul This hotel is very unique, a good mix of a relative big hotel but with a touch of personality. A hotel is not better then the staff and you can tell that the staff put al lot of proud int their work to get the guests to feel like home. And they really succeed.... One of the best parts of the hotel is the garden with its pool area. Here you can sit and have you breakfast or take a Glas of wine in the evening. It’s really wonderful place, when ever you use it... The rooms are spacious and clean. Maybe the beds could be softer...but they have everything you need for your stay. When it comes to the classic Italian breakfast..well... it’s good for Italian standard, but if you compare it with ex Germany... well then it’s poor. But you always know that breakfast in Italy isn’t as at home.... and I think you can overlook that when everything else is perfect about this hotel. The hotel is situated very near the beach, you reach it within minutes and Around the hotel are a lot of good restaurants. If you can’t walk the hotel have bicycles for rent... for free... of course... If I would come back I would stay here every time.... a big thanks to Ron & colleges for superb service
