We arranged a week in Tenuta San Carlo for Ivy League college friends with spouses - all seniors in their early 70's. With two nine passenger vans, a 4 passenger vehicle and a travel guide, we spent days in Tuscany exploring wonderful sites and our evenings at Tenuta San Carlo. We had fabulous dinners and wine, wonderful travel companions, beautiful...

Tenuta San Carlo is so authentic Tuscan and special. My second visit in two years. Yes, it's a 1000 acre estate farm in the protected Maremma National Park with direct private access to the Sea; yes, it has restored apartments in former farm buildings where you can cook when you wish or, even better, have authentic Tuscan cooking with most...

This is not an ordinary agritourismo!! San Carlo is set in a magical landscape of such great breadth and beauty that it makes your heart grow to twice it's size. Long after you have returned to the pace of modern life there will still be the sense of peace and calm that makes this land so amazing. The rooms are...

We had booked the maremmana suite five months ago for our wedding anniversary and paid the fifty euro deposit for the room with living room and kitchen. It looked lovely but when we checked in we were not given what we booked. Instead they had partitioned off the kitchen and living room for a different apartment with you g children...

I had an amazing visit at the Farm! It was my third time there and, while my trip was too short, my stay was enchanting. My apartment was gorgeous and perfectly clean. I seriously think it was the best shower of my life! I spent the day walking along the wooded paths to the beach, reading, taking pictures and sketching....

We stayed as a family with our 10 month old daughter and it was great. You are in Tuscany and on the beach. What could be better? The farm animals were a treat to see and you can easily engage around farm life. The walk to the beach is along a pleasant dirt track and you have the beach to...

We have visited twice. The wild flowers were blooming this April when we drove down from Florence. The lodging is simple but comfortable. We drove to Etruscan ruins on day trips and settled in for the evening. You can cook from local supplies (Rita's on the way to Alberese) or have good Tuscan food on the farm. We watched the...

Tenuta San Carlo is really exceptional if you like an authentic Maremma Tuscan experience on an elegant working farm with its private access along Tuscan pine trees to the preserve on the Tyrennian Sea. The food is the real thing and not an elegant restaurant met all of my criteria as a foodie for the real thing. The American Samantha...

Tenuta San Carlo - what a great farm stay on the coast of Tuscany! Great place (farm with cows and horses right at the door), great people (Samantha - owner, Titsiana - Farm Manager), great location (3Kms walk down pine tree lined path to the drift wood strewn beach). Reach out and find the small coastal town of Castiglione della...
