We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights as part of an Insight tour. We found the staff very pleasant. Our room was a bit on the small size however it was clean and the bed comfortable. We looked at one of the other rooms and it was much bigger with a wonderful view of the Dolomites. Breakfast was ample...

My wife and I decided that we needed a break from Orlando Florida so we planned a two week trip to North Italy in September, 2014. On the list of places that we really wanted to visit was Cortina De Ampezzo. We were very pleased that we did. The lovely little city is a natural base to visit the Dolomites...

Had a fabulous time here. The rooms were very nice and very comfortable but the thing that was so wonderful was how attentive the owner Flavia and her entire staff were. We felt welcomed from the minute we arrived. We had a wonderful dinner our first night with a special ravioli from the area that was outstanding.(wish I could remember...

Hotel Ancora is a warm and charming alpine retreat perfectly located in the center of Cortina. The hotel is an easy walk to hiking & biking trails and a variety of restaurants & bars. We stayed in room #88 / 89 which was spacious, clean and comfortable with a great balcony that overlooked the pedestrian way and offered jaw dropping...

Flavia and her crew made our stay at the Hotel Ancora memorable. The location right in the heart of Cortina can't be beat, our room was charming and comfortable and the meals we ate on the terrace were delicious. The service was always attentive but unobtrusive. I would go back in a heartbeat !

This is an elegant hotel that treats its guests with a smile before you check in. The staff was professional, thank you Loretta for the suggestions of where to hike. We had connecting suites rooms 88 and 90 that can easily sleep two adults and 2 children in each suite. We had a balcony that overlooked the main plaza and...

The Ancora is on the pedestrian street that is the heart of Cortina. The people-watching from the terrace bar is the best in town. The rooms are just right for the mountains and the jacusi bath gets the job done after a long day on the trails. Everyone in this hotel from the owner to the janitor seems to be...

Here's the biggest reason: Flavia Cusinato, the owner-manager, who gives extraordinary attention to her guests. Our baggage missed its connection in London. Flavia offered to loan me whatever I needed -- clothes, makeup, toiletries, nightgown, a jacket -- until they arrived. She is on site a considerable amount of the day and available to guests. That degree of personal service...

This hotel is the oldest one in Cortina D'Ampezzo... Rich in character and charm. The staff are lovely and the food amazing.... I cannot wait to return soon... It is stunning in winter when it snows, but also beautiful in other seasons....

This is an older hotel, and much refurbishment is needed. Nevertheless, the food in the restaurant was very good as was the service. By some miracle we wound up with a suite, so there was plenty of space. Some complaInts: no air conditioning, not enough light to read by, not enough places to sit comfortably. We asked for a wake-up...
