Recently spent 9 days hiking Alta Via 1 thru the dolomites and Nuvolau was the worst of the Refugios we stayed in. do your self a favor - come up for a drink and the view but stay somewhere else for the night. I did not even stay at this Refugio but does not look good. I called today for information on rates and the lady that answered the phone was rude and not helpful at all. When I ask for the rate she asked me;"what for?" What? Why would I want the rate if not for making a reservation??? Then she refused...

This is very much a hiker's / climber's hut (not suitable if you are looking for more than basic comfort and/or extra friendly service). The rooms were clean and the food was great, but we were not pleased with the cold treatment we received from our hostess and her staff.
