My husband and I drove from florence to rome and we stayed at Casa Garuda as a midway point. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and the rooms are spacious. However it is VERY difficult to find. There is also no food on premises, so we had to venture out to a nearby villiage to find some place to eat....

This small inn is on top of a large hill with the most beautiful 270 degree view spread before you, rolling hills, woods, fields, villages. The owners, Brian and Antonella are extraordinary hosts, low-key, very knowledgeable, generous. This was the most peaceful week we can remember spending. The hosts -- Brian and Antonella -- were gracious, helpful, accommodating and warm. The views at sunset were almost too good to be believable.. If you don't know the territory, it's a challenge to find the property after you leave the Autostrade on the way here, but it was so...
