Had my phone stolen from the locker in my room during breakfast 20 minutes before I had to checkout and leave! Suddenly, the staff spoke very little English when I reported it at reception. With their broken English, they tried to convince me that I had 'lost' it. I went on to ask the travel company to report it as...

Booked into Astra as part of coach holiday. Allocation of rooms is hit and miss - I had a large double with small balcony at front. Others had a tiny single room. Suggest contact Astra in advance with your request as it seemed to work for me. Public areas are drab and depressing in the Astra and the sister hotel...

We have just spent 3 nights here as part of the Newmarket 7 cities tour. The hotel has a lovely reception area and guest lounges but the rooms (we were in room 58) were poor. Balcony looked out on adjacent accommodation block, the room bare and like other reviews, only 1 extra pillow. Shower cubicle was slack and leaked generously...

On entry the Cristallo hotel looks great, the staff - apart from our Russian experience were great. Rooms not so, a throw back to the past, dark dismal, cold, TV not UK friendly. Dark cold tile floor in room, one extra pillow and blanket - why not TWO - ok you can ask. The one picture on a wall, looked...

This holiday was fantastic in that it gave us a whistle stop tour of a lot of Italian cities, we knew before we went it would be hectic but not so hectic as it was! It would be better as a 10 day holiday so there was a free day in the first base at Lake Garda and a free...

We had a room overlooking the pool, and it seemed fairly quiet on that side, and the views...

A lovely hotel, huge well appointed rooms & public areas. Good food & friendly service. Stayed three nights as part of Newmarket Holidays Seven Cities of Italy tour 1-8 June 2014. A lovely retreat from a fairly hectic yet enjoyable schedule. Beware of staff member Stefano - he quite openly asked my husband & I if he could spend the...

Wednesday another early start as we journeyed to Florence and on the walking tour found the lucky pig, so a quick rub of it's nose and we were off to the Ponte Vecchio. Onwards and upwards on the 4th day of Newmarket's 7 Cities Tour to Chianciano Terme, following visits to Verona, Venice and Florence and the second hotel, Cristallo...

We stayed here for 3 nights on a Newmarket 7 cities tour. The hotel has a slight feel of aged grandeur about it in the public rooms, but the bedrooms could do with a bit of refurb - e.g a shower attachment over the bath with no shower curtain isn't ideal. However the room was comfortable and clean and had...

The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was fine but many of the others on our Newmarket 7 cities of Italy tour had very small rooms The food was basic - rather like school dinners although there was a good buffet salad bar to supplement the meal.
