We stayed at the Abbey for 4 nights and used it as a hub to explore the region. The Abbey is a lovely restored building and is set in landscaped grounds. We stayed in one of larger suites and it was comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts were high quality. The Abbey is in a relatively isolated location, therefore you have...

This perfectly restaured convent houses a stunning hotel surrounded by luscious gardens with large pond and parks. You enter a different world when you pass the gates to the grounds of the hotel. Staff is very welcoming. The rooms are very comfy and characteristic, but with all the modern comfort. Just stroling around the hotel makes you feel like the...

A countryside location away from the cities/towns of Burgundy. Quite lovely grounds, with cut lawns and lake. Service was friendly and welcoming with English spoken by all. We ate in the michelin starred restaurant with our 3 children. Aside from one of their meals being totally forgotten, the rest of the dining experience was great. The Suite was well equipped....

We travel a great deal and this hotel is exceptional in every way.Of course the grounds are heavenly-so peaceful! The food was fabulous and the rooms very comfortable though the noise from the air conditioner would probably annoy some people-however not us! The staff are exceptional particularly in the dining room and were what prompted me to write my first...

As a former abbaye, this property's common areas are worth the visit for one-night visit in the area. I agree with other reviewers that it wouldn't be feasible as a base of operations for a trip to Burgundy. We had a similar experience in our room with very low beams and my husband and I each whacked our heads a...

On our second visit to France, we chose this location to elope. We stayed 3 nights at the Abbaye and our experience the second time was even more fabulous than our memories of the first time. Clive and his staff had made further improvements to the property in the 2 years since our last visit and the rooms were as...

Our second visit but this time we were accompanied by 4 friends on our recommendation. It was every bit as good as we remembered, and Clive and all his staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. It's a stunning building in a beautiful setting. Our room ( a Superior ) had a very comfortable bed and luxurious...

We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the facility that is a former convent. The room was luxurious and the shower was big enough to park a Smart Car. The grounds are also interesting and we enjoyed seeing the pet horses up close. However, I would not recommend it for hard core sightseers like ourselves. It is a long distance...

We stayed at this hotel for three nights last week. We made a reservation 5 months in advance and had deposited 30% of total stay as down payment. When we arrived there in the evening the receiving staff was very professional and pleasant. We had dinner there and it was better than a typical Michelin one star restaurant in terms...
