In the heart of the Chianti region, it is a charming hotel. Nice setting, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast I totally recommend it It is 40' from Florence and 30' from Siena. There's a great restaurant at a walking distance ("Il Fondaccio dai Dottori")

Salivolpi is a former old country farmhouse, located a short walk from the town centre of Castellina in Chianti. There are 19 charmingly furnished rooms with terracotta floor tiles, whitewashed pebbledash walls, wrought iron beds, beamed ceilings and Tuscan furniture. The bathroom was immaculately presented. There is a swimming pool in the large garden. Breakfast was served in an adjacent...

Hotel Colle Etrusco Salivolpi is located in the heart of the Tuscany wine region. It's my second visit there and would certainly return. The staff is friendly and helpful. The accommodations clean and rustic. If you are an early riser, you can have the pleasure of a beautiful sunrise with the roosters crowing in the background.

We stayed in one of their larger rooms for a week. The setting and grounds were very nice. Breakfast was nice; we liked the flexibility of getting breakfast there (for a reasonable rate) or elsewhere (for when we left early). Castellina In Chianti is a great town to base a Tuscan visit around - the town has lots of great...

We had a wonderful time during our 6 day stay at Hotel Salivolpi. The property is so charning in a beautiful countryside setting. The rooms were decorated in a lovely tuscan cottage decor. The breakfast was good although the room could be crowded. The front desk was attentive and helped us with driver transportation from Florence and car rental. We...

The rooms are clean and the staff friendly and willing to help at any opportunity to make your stay better. Breakfast is outside in a garden in the warm weather and inside in a quaint cottage...

We spent 7 enjoyable nights. The room in the annex above the breakfast room was quiet and cool despite the Windows being open. There is aircon but we prefer fresh air. The bathroom was spacious and worked well. Fresh flowers in the room was a nice touch. A good Italian breakfast can ruin your day but the buffet here was...

This is our second stay at Salivolpi and we hope to come back next year. I love the fact that owners and staff strive for perfection. They pay attention to details that others might overlook. The staff/owners were very friendly, professional and serviceminded. The breakfast is great and on warm summer days it is great to relax in the garden...

Fantastic small family run hotel. Set on outskirts of the village of Castellina but an easy walk to restaurants and the local attractions. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff always friendly and willing to help at any opportunity to make your stay better. Lovely breakfast. Pool area is always clean and well maintained. This was not our first...
