We stayed here for 1 night and were sad to leave. The location is very close to Siena and the roads are beautiful to drive on. Many people did day trips farther south from here. The dinner was magnificent - my husband ordered a 2nd helping of ragu one night and for the rest of our 2 weeks in Italy...

We had a fantastic stay with Ettoré and Stella. From the moment we arrived, driving 2km along the off-the-beaten track gravel road into the beautiful Tuscan country, to sitting down at our first meal and tasting the most simple yet best carbonara I've ever eaten, everything was perfect. The rooms were also excellent - tastefully decorated and comfortable. I would...

We spent 2 days in this lovely place in July. We were looking for an hotel around and by chance we found Villa Di Capovento. Warm welcome from Ettore and Stella in a wonderful place, far from the road (about 2 km of track but easy by car). Once you enter the place, just sit and profit from the silence...

To get to this quiet place you will need to drive for 2.5km in a dirt road. If you drive a rented car then no wonder (you don't care) if (like me) you drive your personal car then drive slowly, and after your stay head to the nearest car wash :-) After this little introduction you will stay at a...

Spent four nights here in April and loved every moment of it. Relaxing and peaceful setting and the hosts were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious and I would definitely recommend staying here.

My wife and I spent 3 fantastic nights at Villa di Capovento. The home and the surrounding area are truly beautiful. Our room was large and decorated very nicely. We enjoyed the fresh air and views from our windows. Breakfast each morning was terrific and after eating supper there the first night we decided we wouldn't find anywhere that served...

Stayed here for three nights. It's a real place for retreat. Loved the pool area and the functioning airconditioning which is important when visiting Tuscany in the summer. Loved that the place is a 10-15min drive to two excellent wineries - Terrabiancia and Brancaia. Also Tuscans typically eat sweet breakfast so appreciated that they served fresh homemade yoghurt and the...

We had a great long weekend at Villa di Capovento. We enjoyed the beautiful and scenic drive to the house and were welcomed by the hosts Stella and Ettore. We had the "romantic room" which was very pretty and traditional. The grounds around the house were great and the pool looked serene and would have loved to have taken a...
